Publisher's Summary

The elves have a plan to save humanity...by enslaving them. And the angels are too busy to intervene.

Aaru is at war. The rebel angels are calling for Sam's exclusion from the Ruling Council and her banishment to Hel. But Sam's isn't the only future at risk. If they're defeated, Gregory and his brothers will face exile, losing everything they've spent billions of years to build.

The fate of heaven and earth is in the balance, and only an angel from Hel can save them both.

Worth my credit

This has turned out to be a funny series and it's kept me constantly waiting for the next story. I really like Rysk's character voices she does the imp well.

3.5 Stars

I realized that I never added my reviews to Audible for this series so I am correcting that now.

Exodus is book 8 in the Imp series. It is told in first person POV from main character Sam.

Sam is Ha-Satan, the Iblis, and she is an Angel of Chaos. She is also the significant other of the most powerful Archangel in existence, Gregory. To me, their relationship is always my most favorite part of these books. I love them together.

I enjoyed this book but it felt too political for me at times in terms of all the red tape and having their hands tied when they should have been kicking ass and handling things from the get go rather than going around and around with discussions and voting.

I enjoyed the action and adventure and seeing most of my favorite characters from the other books.

I felt that this book was rushed at the end and the pacing was off for the amount of time spent discussing other aspects of this story. I'm not happy with how quickly the ending "battle" happened and how abruptly it ended.

Overall, I give Exodus 3.5 stars. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Audible: I added the audible narration to this kindle book. I don't recommend this as an audio only book. The narrator was easy to understand and that was good but she didn't have a good array of voices. The voices sounded very similar in most cases and her male voices weren't really very manly sounding. It was okay as an audible but if you do it, I suggest as an add-on to the kindle so you can also follow along or switch to reading when need-be so you can determine who is speaking at certain points.

Love it

This series is one of my favorites. Dunbar author and Rysk as narrator are the best. Audio is really the only way to go. A book with suspense, drama, laughs. And a tiny mystery. a voice that brings each character to life. What more can you ask for. Couldn't stop listening. Oh and there is the question who are the original angels of chaos in he'll who have been keeping to them selves for billions of years. Hope we get that answer. Not a standalone book but hay you won't be sorry read or better yet listen to them.

Another book of mayhem and disaster.

I love this series. I'm so glad I gave this series a shot, the more I listen the better it gets. It is hilarious and there is always plenty of action. Sam now has to deal with all the elves coming from hell. Her house is getting full. Debra Dunbar has created a unique world in the time when urban fantasy has been done before. I always love Boomer and Diablo, now there is a cute baby dragon. I hope there will be many more books out in the Imp series they are an automatic download for me. I wish it hadn't taken me so long to notice this one was on audible before I did. The narrator also grows on you, at first I thought she was too slow, but I like her now.

I love the Ibliss

The queen of hell rocks. I really like the affectionate term "cockroach" from Gregory and his commitment to his woman, demon or not. I am sick of the elves cruelty and love Niall a stepping out to assist! Please more!
