Publisher's Summary
Billionaire Caleb Blackstone lives in the glamorous world of wealth and success, with every material luxury. But the moment he sees Brooke Casterley, none of that matters. Caleb is filled with a raw, undeniable need that he can't ignore...for a girl who is so completely different from everything and everyone he's ever known.
Only Brooke isn't looking for love. She knows all too well just how much damage the wrong guy can do. Still, what sane, broke British girl can resist the charms of an incredibly sexy, chivalrous billionaire? What starts as flirtation quickly turns into all-consuming passion. Nothing could have prepared her for the searing heat of Caleb's touch - or just how much she craves him.
Their whirlwind romance is the stuff of high-society fantasy - but for every moment of pleasure, there is a cost. Past mistakes and tragedy shadow them both...and falling for him might be the kind of trouble she can't afford.

MEH - GOOD PREMISE.. BUT A CRUSHING DISAPPOINTMENT
Who knows why with some books you can connect instantly to the characters and the story grabs your attention straight away and pulls you right in.. well unfortunately, with this listen, p I wasn't even remotely pulled in by either the boring characters or the lame storyline. Which was basically Caleb sees Brooke, quickly falls deeply in love with her and spends most of the book spouting out just how much he loves Brooke, worships Brooke, adores Brooke, Brooke has the perfect body, Brooke has a wonderful personality, poor Brooke what heartache she's had to endure, Brooke and he are just right together and his life without Brooke would be unthinkable.. see I bet you're already fed up with the many mushy musings by love struck Caleb - if not then try chapter.. after chapter.. after chapter of it. At one point I looked around for something to hurl into - coz it was just that sickly sweet.
There was a little bit of angst towards the end that maybe took up a chapter but other than that this was a tale of a rich Billionaire who instantly becomes besotted with an English woman who had, in the past, picked the wrong husband and tragedy, death and heartache ensued. So the stubborn woman wasn't going to make that mistake again.. the direction and choices in her life were going to be hers.. and only hers - but some things you just can't control - like love and when it'll happen to you. I don't usually mind insta love or lust but in this case it WASN'T special, spectacular, sexy, sizzling, riveting or even enjoyable. Dual POV's and good narrators whose talents were wasted on the wrong book.
Worth a credit? IMO - NO. There was zero connection between me and the characters, the narration somehow didn't work and the storyline was cheesy fluff - so if I had of used a credit on this listen then I'd be asking for it back.. in fact I still think I'll be asking for a $7.34 refund. But please don't just take my word for it because maybe you will want to bring it to life.. whereas I just wanted to bury it.

Insta-Love
First, I have a really hard time with Insta-love and this book has about 2 conversations before they are saying they love each other. I just can not feel the connection between the characters when they only know what each other looks like and have a few meaningless conversations. Once I got past that and they were together a little while I really did start to like their relationship. I loved the reaction they both has at their "surprise". The second half of this book was really sweet and loving and sexy.
Narration was was great, I love Jeremy York and really enjoyed Sienna Frances too.

Those voices.....
The story was good but when Mr. York spoke as "Brooke" it was creepy. Ms. Frances (Brooke) talked too fast. This audible would have been better if both Mr. York and Ms. Frances spoke as their respective character.

Slow Slow Slow
The story unfolded so slowly you knew where it was going l-o-n-g before it got there. The male narrator spoke so slowly I kept looking to see if I had changed the speed on my player. Only reason I gave it one star is because it's nice to hear a guy treat his lady so well

Narrators dragged
The story had potential but the narration was horrible. Jeremy York is usually ok but he was so boring in this narration, really slow and hard to listen to. I struggled to finish.

Just a little too much plot wholes
Miller is a great writer and the story was a good cute book. However, It was a struggle to get through. Mr. York’s voice was soothing but it was too slow at some points and the female narrator seemed to be out of breath sometimes from her rushing. the story lacked a sort of fun twist with it. It was all too serious and there was barely any scenes where Caleb would talk to James or his brother about it all. And What happened to Brooke remodeling the penthouse? There is just a lot of plot wholes and the story was too cliche.
When Caleb was fuming about the paparazzi he forgot that Brooke had a choice to stay on the island if she wanted to. His brother could keep an eye on her, but he forced her to his house because of what he wanted. He didn’t ask, he was just like ‘go to Boston with me’ and she was panicking and agreed because she loved him. It just annoyed me how he was forcing her to do this when her grandma just told him not to force her into anything. That is just my main dislike about it.
I did enjoy it but I just feel like the plot wasn’t well developed and it was missing a lot.

Cheesy and overly sweet
The story is not bad, but sadly the incredibly cheesy and corny dialogue almost make this into a parody. And what makes it all worse it's the male narrator reading this incredibly mushy stuff with a slow breathy voice. It really sounds like a joke. The female narrator would have been good if not for the fact that she sounded like she was in a race to finish reading as fast as she could, delivering her lines sometimes emotionless encause of her speed.

Wonderful love story
This is the first novel by this author for me and I thoroughly enjoyed the style of writing and flow. The characters were deep and I could not help but get engrossed to see how their story would end. For those enjoy a wonderful love story, I highly recommend it and I plan to read or listen to more by this author.

Going blind by the cuteness
Incoming review 😊
Caleb is filthy rich, successful and charming. After his father death he begins to question certain things, the indifference of his mother towards the family state and memories, made him feel responsible to solve this matter with his own hands.
Brooke came from England to America after a tragic incident, but that didn't stop her. She fought for her dreams and became a sweet beautiful woman working has an interior designer. She is young and to help her gramma, she has to work a second job. Life isn't easy...
They meet in a funny scenery, their story feels genuine. They both focus on what's important in life, so they feel comfortable with each other right from the start. One says it's faith, another says is ... luck... twin souls maybe...
They learn from each other although they are from different worlds. Past and hard truths come in their way, but they keep trying.
Right by the end 😲😲😲😲and that's all I'm going to say/ write for now.
Hope to get the next installment soon 😉
Great read, enjoyed it very much.
I recommend this book to everyone ❤️
