Publisher's Summary

Newly divorced and with his career in jeopardy, Detective Connor Parks takes solace in the arms of a beautiful woman he meets at a bar. The next morning, Claire Fletcher is gone, leaving nothing behind but an address and a decade-old mystery. The address leads to the Fletcher family home, where Claire's siblings inform Connor that their 15-year-old sister was abducted from a city street 10 years ago and is presumed dead.

During those 10 years, Claire endured the cruel torture and depravity of the man who abducted her. Paralyzed by fear and too ashamed to return to her family, Claire is resigned to her life as Lynn, the identity her abductor forced upon her. Every time she attempts escape or betrays him in the smallest way, someone dies. Even now, her clandestine run-in with Connor Parks may have put his life at risk as well as the lives of her family.

Connor is convinced not only that Claire Fletcher is alive but that she is also the woman he met at the bar. He is determined to find her and unravel the mystery of her abduction and odd reemergence. But finding Claire Fletcher proves more dangerous than he anticipates. In fact it may be deadly.

It was just ok.

I was not impressed with the narrator. Her "male voices" were very annoying. The story was pretty contrived, as well. It wasn't bad enough to stop listening, but it wasn't a book that I was excited to get back to. I was happy when it was over.

Forced myself to finish

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I really am not sure who would enjoy this book.

Has Finding Claire Fletcher turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, but it has made me very suspicious of some of the ratings.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator wasn't awful but she really didn't do men's voices well and it made her delivery very annoying.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Total disbelief in the storyline.

Oh Heavens.... The male voices!!

I struggle to understand how someone on the production crew of this audio recording could have listened to Amy Landon's male voice attempts and thought, "that's good enough to record and release." ..... The male voices were not good. It was distracting and annoying to listen to them and almost made me stop listening. Story was fine..... quick and easy beach or vacation read. But.... oh my..... Amy Landon's male voice attempts..... pls... make it stop!

great book as usual by Lisa. Narration AWFUL!

All of these books are great. The narration was so bad I finished reading it. I couldn't bear to hear the third grader reading in a tin can!

Absolutely Horrible

I don't think I made it past chapter 2. I realized wasn't for me. I lot track of the number of time the F-word was used. It served no purpose and was distracting from the story. There was a bedroom scene. Geez, realized I really didn't like either of the characters. Was a waste. I usually like Lisa Regan books but this one was absolutely horrible. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Don't Let The Slow Start Fool You

As noted in my headline, do not let the slow start to this book fool you. I almost returned it for a refund BUT I am glad I didn't. This is a nerve racking thriller. You can't help but cheer, moan or slap your forehead when the plot changes. Well worth the listen and/or read!
