Publisher's Summary

Welcome to the challenge. You're an absolute nobody here—nothing, a zero, a useless lump of meat filled with bones. You're but a delicious morsel for your antagonists and those who got lucky at the start. The only goal you can have in your miserable existence is to kick the bucket as soon as possible.

Like a DayZ x Rust crossover story

The story's setting is like if the Hunger Games were hosted by, what seems like, Futuristic Cultivators with the mechanics of Rust/DayZ/Escape from Tarkov games.

The while everyone else has a headstart our MC is given the choice of the same headstart (low risk low return) or an initial setback with future privileges and, obviously, chooses the latter. He is met with seemingly insurmountable odds but uses his wit and environment to eke out a path to survival. The MC is by no means OP and though the fights are often won by slim margins they're realistic in its flow and rarely feel like their plot-luck protected.

Overall, the mystery of the world setting, the MC's background, and his interesting fights while overcoming the odds against him makes this a fun book I'd recommend.

PS
The vibe of the first 4 hours of the story(iirc) is, more or less, the vibe of the whole series so that'd be a good indicator of if you'd like the series.
