Publisher's Summary

Sawyer

For the most part I’m a simple guy. I’m an Air Force pilot who keeps his head down, works hard, and tries to stay out of trouble. Problem is, trouble seems to find a way of finding me. But when it looks like Naomi Foster, I’m powerless to resist. I said I didn’t need to get involved with another woman, especially after how things ended the last time.

But I’d happily let Naomi ruin me.

Naomi

I don't mess around with stuff that overcomplicates my life. I love my career, and I love my family. Love itself, however, is overrated. It’s only ever let me down, and brought me pain and misery. But love isn’t the same as lust, and when it came to spending a night with the very handsome Staff Sergeant Powell, I said yes.

After all, it was one night. What could possibly come of it?

The story had potential but it fell flat in the end

The book started strong and had a lot of promise. But the 6 year time jump felt like a cop out on plot. The end felt rushed and contrived. That said the narration was top notch.
