Story
The Forsaken hunger for vengeance, leaving Steel and me with no choice but to follow Camiel to the only place strong enough to protect me - Eden, an ancient, hidden city darkened by my family’s secrets. But Eden isn’t the safe haven I expected, and family runs deeper than blood. As Thorne grows stronger by the day, his Fallen forces threaten to raze London - and then the world - to cinders. In order to stop him, the entire angelic community has to unite, but ancient feuds and millennia of prejudice put everything at risk.

Story
A realm of monsters. A world of lies. She belongs to both. My name is Emberly, and everything I’ve ever been told is a lie. Monsters don’t exist. Wrong. The nightmarish spectrum world is just my imagination. Wrong. In a few months, I’ll finally be free. Wrong. It takes being dragged to a secret training academy in the mountains to unravel the truth. My captors - an elite race of angel-born warriors called Nephilim. The deadliest of them all is an arrogant shape shifter, Steel. He’s gorgeous, lethal, hot-headed...and convinced I’ll be the death of them all.

Story
Trinity Marrow has lost the battle and her beloved Protector. Even with both demons and Wardens on her side, Trin may not win the war against the Harbinger. Bringing Lucifer back to the world to fight the Harbinger is probably a really, really bad idea, but they're out of options—and the world's ultimate fallen angel is the only being powerful enough to impact the outcome. As Trin and Zayne form a new and more dangerous bond and Lucifer unleashes Hell on earth, the apocalypse looms and the world teeters on the end of forever. Win or lose, nothing will ever be the same.

Alexandria isn’t sure she’s going to make it to her 18th birthday - to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she’s a goner...and so is Aiden. If that’s not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training" - which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time - she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.

Publisher's Summary
No one knows if Steel is dead or alive...except me.
For months I kept the late night calls from Steel a secret, until he let it slip that he tracked down his villainous sister, Silver. He needs help - even if the powerful angel-shifter is too stubborn to admit it.
But the Steel I find isn’t the same boy from Seraph Academy. He’s darker. Haunted. And the distance between us can’t be crossed by a simple flap of my wings.
When a battle with the Forsaken goes horribly wrong, I awaken as a prisoner inside a Fallen stronghold. My enigmatic abductor - Thorne - is manipulative, secretive, and claiming I’m meant to rule by his side.
I’m not buying it, especially since the alluring offer to unveil the mystery of my seraph ancestry comes at the cost of bringing every Nephilim to their knees.
Lines between the realms will blur. My world will burn. And this time, I’m not sure I can fight the darkness on my own...

Absolutely love this book!
OMG OMG OMG!!!!! Now that this book is out in the world, let me just say that I already gave all the stars to Stealing Embers... So this book gets all the glittery fairy dust instead! I didn't think I could love this book more than the first one, but I did!
Emberly is the only one who hears from Steel and then the gang comes up with a plan to find him and help him find Silver. When they do, things get pretty interesting. Emberly gets kidnapped, Steel says some pretty amazing things, (seriously... I have a page full of Steel quotes), and the gang does what they do best- try to keep Emberly and Steel out of trouble!
New characters and new places. This book has ALL THE FEELS and then some. You'll love it. Just read it.

Building on a great story
The overarching theme to this book seems to center around how we support each other and the things we would do to keep the ones we love safe. As more and more secrets are revealed, and Emberly and her friends seek to help Steele find Silver, sacrifices are made that end up revealing even more about Emberly and her heritage and past. There’s a good amount of action, mixed with a healthy dose of exposition to continue building the world. Some new characters are introduced that have a big impact on their lives, and new questions arise as a result. As always, Emberly holds onto her snarky, take no crap, attitude, which is one of the things that endears her to the reader. But she’s also opening herself up to her new life and her new friends, which is very scary and intimidating, and definitely an unknown factor for her. The story is engrossing, and the world building is excellent, and the ending keeps you wanting more.

Great book
I love the characters. I love the story. It's super intriguing. I love the writer. It got a little twisted towards the end. The little girl part really bugged me, but it did paint a good picture.

Love the book and Vanessa Moyen’s Narration. I really really disliked the guys narration. The way he reads Steels part make it sound too depressing.

Can't wait for the next one!
Can we first start with the book covers? these are gorgeous. That's what I noticed first about the book and what make me pick them up. This is my first series from Julie Hall and I can't wait to see what other book of her I can read/ listen.
This book picks up right around when the first one ends. There is definitely more action in this one specially with Somberly new found powers. I have to say that I like Steel more in this book. There were a few times he got on my nervs in the first book. Can I also say how refreshing is not to have the same cookie cutter old girl friend becoming a bully routine. Thank you Julie for that one. We get a lot more information about the fallen in this book which makes the plot more rounded. I even liked Thorn. We get a lot more information about him and how he control the forsaken and the fallen. I honestly want a chapter from his POV to see what he really thinks and how much of his behavior is an act. The book ends in a cliff hanger and it is killing me. Can't wait to start the next one
