Book four in the Gaunt's Ghosts series.

Sent to retrieve holy artefacts from a world lost to Chaos, Gaunt’s Ghosts find themselves beset by the enemy...but is Saint Sabbat herself helping them from beyond the grave?

Listen to it because: it's a new start for Gaunt's Ghosts. With a whole load of new troopers in the regiment and a dangerous mission - a race against time to retrieve holy relics from a dying world - Gaunt and his men (and women now!) have their work cut out for them.

The story: in disgrace after a catastrophic war, Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt and the Tanith First are sent to retrieve precious artefacts from a world lost to Chaos. With enemy all around them and time against them, Gaunt's Ghosts and their allies must prevent the holy relics of Saint Sabbat from falling into their foes' hands, and as mysterious events begin to occur, Gaunt begins to suspect that the Saint herself might be aiding them from beyond the grave.

Running time 10 hours 13 minutes.

A perfect tale of Imperial Hardships and Victory

Narrator doing a sublime job of giving life to the characters, making them stand apart and giving them emotions when it matters. You can almost hear the smile in his voice when certain awesome parts come up.

Loved the backstory of Saint Sabbath and how it linked into the Ghosts as a whole. Some sick firefights, some of which really keep you on your toes as to *how* they will end.

Goes absolutely crazy

This book goes hard, just like all the other Gaunt’s Ghosts books. Dan is an absolute king.

12 out of 10, hands down.

Ive been working my way through the series upon a recommendation and I can honestly say that I am glad that I took the advice. Every one of the books so far has been excellent on all fronts. Story is incredible and thematic. The VA is splendid. And each book has been just as good if not better than the last, this one is no exception.

Author has an incredible gift of introducing a character, making me start to cheer or urge them to continue, then killing them in a way that tugs the heartstrings. In which I mean in the best way possible. Hehe.

phenomenal

honestly, if you've read this far into gaunt's ghosts you're just as hooked as I am. I pay monthly for audible and look forward to another 10 months of narration and performance and story.
I love the series
by far one of Dan abnetts best works (save for Eisenhorn)
the reader also does an unreal job of voicing the characters and adding depth to the story through genuine role reprisal.

good job
