I don’t mind a series, but each book needs to stand alone somewhat. This book was an ‘introduction’ only. There was insufficient movement of story and characters to be in any way satisfying. Perhaps as a series it will develop into something great - I like Ford - but this was just frustrating. Hard to care where it goes at the end. Unless I hear great things, I won’t pick up the next one. Almost in protest
