Helpful and straight to the point

Enjoyed listening to this book and thought the content was useful and provided some good inspiration for productivity and “GSD” but the author says his name way too much and that became very annoying. It might work in print form as I think he’s reading pull-quotes and citing his name afterwards but in audio form this just became very irritating. I would probably give it 3.5 if I could for that, but I liked the content and can look past the repetitive “Jeffery Gitomer”.

Jeffrey this is the first I have heard of you and I will find out more about your methods. Thank you for taking the time to giving credit to your mentors and quoting them and yourself. If you do not cheer and praise yourself, no one will. Thank you for the tools and the inspiration!

Had to stop listening

Very frustrating. Listened to several chapters, two of them had quizzes that were rattled off without the questions being numbered. Grabbed paper and pen and wrote them down. But could not figure out at times where one question started and another ended as they were not numbered. Scoring system was therefore inaccurate. After the second quiz being rattled off and my results not making any sense I gave up. I did look for a pdf attachment hoping to find the quizzes, but none could be found. All in all a frustrating experience.

Jeffrey Gitomer!!!

As other have said. This man decided his “quotes” were the only ones worth putting in his book. He quotes himself 2-3 times every 5 mins.

His delivery sounds cocky and arrogant. He makes it seem he is the ONLY person who knows sales.

Nothing new or profound here.

Disclosure. I am writing this with a little over an hour left. I’m only finishing it so JEFFREY GITOMER doesn’t get disappointed in me for not seeing it through.

It’s an ok book

I found he says his own name on every quote, we know it’s your book! I found it annoying and made me lose interest in the book

If you didn't catch his name on the title, don't worry, you will hear it over 200 times before you get halfway through the book. It is such a shame, i was excited to listen to this book and to learn something but i could not get past how often he said his name. Maybe the print version is different but i cannot recommend listening to it. Besides saying his name too much he is excellent at speaking, getting his point across, and has many valuable points and views. One thing is for sure, i will never forget his name!

Alas, rehashing 19th and early 20th century self help pap. Research backed knowledge and it's application is overdue.

Great motivational book on all fronts

I didn't love how much he quoted himself, but I'll still be listening to the book again. While reading the book, I was inspired to finally delete Netflix. Also, my productivity, focus, determination, and confidence increased 10 fold. I also now have at least 5 other great books in my queue based on recommendations from this book.

Good information

This book does have some good information, but I can’t get past the author’s incessant need to quote himself (I understand in written format this might be less infuriating) but you can barely make it 2 or 3 minutes (often less than a full minute) without the author giving a quote, then saying his own name…I made it 2.5 hours in, before I finally had to move onto the next book on my wish list.
