They say that all men are created equal. Well, that’s a blatant lie! I know, because I met God's gift to women in Vegas; I pretended he was my husband to get rid of another man. He took our fake marriage seriously, and it became his personal goal to consummate. He spoke to me in French, and I lied to him in German. His laughter was addictive. But I thought what happens in Vegas would stay in Vegas. Until it didn't.

Our first meeting was at a wedding, where he followed me outside and kissed me. Our second meeting ended in a huge fight with me kicking him out. Our third meeting, I went on a double blind date. You can imagine my surprise when I saw familiar blue eyes across the table opposite my friend. Then, he sent me an email listing 30 reasons why I should go on a date with him. His list was some of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read. And the funniest. We laughed hard and loved harder. Wild, handsome players don’t fall for innocent girls like me. Or do they?

Publisher's Summary
E L James revisits the world of Fifty Shades with a deeper and darker take on the love story that has enthralled millions around the globe.
Look for E L James’ passionate new love story, The Mister, available now.
Christian Grey exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty - until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair. He tries to forget her, but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to see right through him - past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to Christian's cold, wounded heart.
Will being with Ana dispel the horrors of his childhood that haunt Christian every night? Or will his dark sexual desires, his compulsion to control, and the self-loathing that fills his soul drive this girl away and destroy the fragile hope she offers him?
This audiobook is intended for mature audiences.

Subject:Too many minute by minute accounts
What I didn’t like was the excessive from Christian grey CEO grey holdings incorporated blah blah in their exchange of emails. Too many minute accounts and what not. That part got annoying in bits but other than that I really enjoyed this listen.
The narrator was good and I enjoyed the extra bits I learned hearing this story from Christian’s side of things.
Sometimes there was too much sex talk and I know this book is in that genre but at times I felt like it was just to fill space and I was bored.
All in all a fun listen for summer I finished it in three days.

I enjoyed the storyline and the characters in the original 50 Shades , seriously, not just the dirty stuff, lol.. the writing of course wasn't the greatest but it worked. I was super interested to see into Grey's head and see what he was thinking... but it's so dry and I find myself fast forwarding through a lot. life is too short to listen to a book that isn't grasping your attention. that's just my opinion so do with it what you will :)

Beautifully written. Excellently narrated.
Interesting hearing what Christian Grey is thinking through the amazing Trilogy about his life.
This book lets you more about Grey’s background. Now you know what kind of man he is, and why he is the way he is.
I listened and rewatched the trilogy and see how they connect.
I enjoyed the flashbacks of his childhood. I feel for the younger Christian.
Plot is a little different but it doesn’t matter. Excellently put together.
As for Zachary Webber’s narration. Absolutely phenomenal as usual. His young voice of Christian was so good. I could see the child. He has a sexy voice so who else could voice the sexy bachelor.
Can’t wait to listen to the second book DARKER.

Exactly what I was hoping it was!
I have missed these characters and I hope Mrs. James writes the other 2 books from Christians perspective as well!
Did you ever wonder what Elliot's reaction was when Christian said he had to go get Anna from a bar?
Did you ever wonder what was going through Christians mind when the belt incident happened? This book gives a whole hour of what was Christian thinking after Anna dropped that bomb shell.
If you loved the trilogy this book is for you, if you didn't like the trilogy this book won't change your mind so quit writing bad reviews.
Great for credit/sale/buy!

Missing Parts
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this version much more. I found that you could hear the struggle Christian went through trying to figure out why Ana made him feel so different than other subs. How he changed the more he spent time with her. It also provided some missing pieces from the first book, like when he had to leave Georgia so quickly. Zachery Webber wow - great naration - will have to look up his other narrations.

He is still one of my top fave Dominant's
I was leery about purchasing this book. I did not want it to be a re-print of the fifty shades series. It was the original story but so much more than that! I hope there is going to be another POV book for books 2 and 3.
This book ends where book 2 begins however it shows is Christian's struggle with the break up. I enjoyed with this book the many facets' of Christian's relationships with Mia, Elliott, Mom, Elena, Roz and Dr. Flynn. Also a little banter with Claude Bastille and Andrea . I just love the behind the scenes working of Christians mind.
I recommend it. It was worth it.

It was great to hear Christians POV
Any additional comments?
It was great to find out all the things that went on in the story when Anna could not hear or wasn't around. Yes it is the same story but it had a totally different feel to it. When you read the original books you have questions. Why did he know so much about her? To Anna he just showed up out of the blue but from Christian's POV you find out what was really going on. You get to hear what got said between him and Mrs. Robbinson, what was said on the other end of phone conversations. All the things that drove Anna (and the reader) crazy because she wanted to know what was going on, in this book you get to find out. Plus, without all of Anna's inner thoughts you get to hear Christian's inner thoughts and how he didn't always understand what was going on with Anna. You find out that neither one of them was communicating what they felt to each other. I would like to see the other 2 books done in his POV. I really enjoyed it. I don't understand why so many are upset and shocked that it is the same story. There was no secret about that. Heck that's why it says 50 Shades of Grey as told by Christian. I also loved the narrator for this book. He did a great job.

Prefer this telling
The narrator for the first three books made me want to burst my eardrums. I just did not care for her but the stories
kept me listening.
The narrator for this book is great. I like his voice. Hearing the story from Christian 's point of view skips all the girly girly stuff I didn't enjoy in the first 3. Hearing the childhood memories is also interesting. I would never pretend that the Fifty Shades series are meant to be serious literature, they aren't meant to be, but hearing the flip side is more enjoyable and it's a little deeper.
These aren't the type of stories I normally enjoy. I am not a romance junkie and frankly the fantasy of poor beautiful girl is swept off her feet by gorgeous young billionaire makes me cringe. EL James does it well and there is a story beyond rich man poor woman .

This was good. I like when he dreams as himself as a boy. Can't help but smile or laugh. I wish we could know more about Christian as a little boy. And it's good Anna helps him with his dreams.
And Elliott is hilarious. When he be calling Christian names. But I didn't know I was finish with the book until it said this is Zachary blah blah blah lol.

Nice to have Christian's POV
I listened to FSOG again before I listened to Grey. It really is the same book but with the switched viewpoint. I loved the narrator. He has such a silky sexy voice. He is much better than the female narrator in FSOG. It was tedious re-doing the contract and emails but for the most part I really liked hearing his side of the story. He is much darker than I pictured him in the first book. He really DOES like hurting Ana and the subs before her. I knew he did that lifestyle but I didn't know he enjoyed it so much. It actually makes the story of redemption even better (but not more realistic). I looked back at the reviews of FSOG and if I hadn't already listened to it I probably would have skipped it - the reviews are that bad. I do not agree. I liked it a lot in the context of all three books. If you are going to go there , please please listen to them all. It shows how one person who won't go into the darkness , even for love , is able to draw

OMG! This is even better than the original Fifty Shades of Grey! Granted, you need to read the original series first before reading (listening) to this version or you won't understand. But this book just takes the cake so far! I loved it! I can't wait for E.L. James to release the second installment from Christian's perspective. So...when WILL the second one be released? I want it NOW! Lol

la langue
Pas choisi de l'écouter en anglais ! Finalement c'est que ça. Très décevant car c'est en français que je voulais l'écouter.
