Publisher's Summary
Dr. Carly Cambridge, wildlife biologist, returns to the Texas Gulf Coast to manage the latest Habitats for Nature project, restoring the woods and wetlands to their natural state. She is devoted to the environmental cause with a passion usually reserved for a lover - something she hasn't had since a disastrous love affair 10 years earlier. Having sworn off women and relationships, Carly is perfectly content to live her life alone while she focuses on her latest project.
Wildlife photographer Pat Ryan is duped into volunteering her talents to the Habitats For Nature cause, but she wants no part of the overzealous Dr. Cambridge.
While they spend most of their time sparring and bickering, an early season hurricane finds them fighting nature - instead of each other - to save the wetlands and the birds that brought them together.
Soon Carly finds her heart opening, little by little, and struggles to ignore the feelings that are growing between them. And Pat, always searching for that certain someone to take her breath away, can't believe for a moment that the woman she's been waiting for could possibly be Carly.

It's all about the birds!
I appreciate stories that share the slow burn stories from both character's points of view.

A deadly combination!
Gerri's characters, her stories, read by Abby are simply fabulous! And this one is no exception!
I already miss these two...
Did I mention the hot sex...the build up, the sex, and the hot narration of these scenes.

Love can happen unexpectedly!
I believe that if a story leaves you wondering how the characters are doing well after you have finished the story, then it is indeed a good book a story well told. Gerri Hill writes a good story and Abby Craden takes it to the next level.
personally I would like to see a book or two be turned into a mini series but that is mostly because it is hard to say goodbye when the story is done.

gerri hill is the best storyteller whether it is mystery and romance or just romance she hits it out of the park all the time and Abby Craden is the best narrator
