Publisher's Summary

Are you interested in learning more about hacking and how you can use these techniques to keep yourself and your network as safe as possible?

Would you like to work with Kali Linux to protect your network and to make sure that hackers are not able to get onto your computer and cause trouble or steal your personal information?

Have you ever been interested in learning more about the process of hacking, how to avoid being taken advantage of, and how you can use some of techniques for your own needs?

This guidebook is going to provide us with all of the information that we need to know about hacking with Linux. Many people worry that hacking is a bad process and that it is not the right option for them. The good news here is that hacking can work well for not only taking information and harming others but also for helping you keep your own network and personal information as safe as possible.

Inside this guidebook, we are going to take some time to explore the world of hacking and why the Kali Linux system is one of the best to help you get this done. We explore the different types of hacking, and why it is beneficial to learn some of the techniques that are needed to perform your own hacks and to see the results that we want with our own networks.

In this guidebook, we will take a look at a lot of the different topics and techniques that we need to know when it comes to working with hacking on the Linux system. Some of the topics that we are going to take a look at here include:

  • The different types of hackers that we may encounter and how they are similar and different.
  • How to install the Kali Linux onto your operating system to get started.
  • The basics of cybersecurity, web security, and cyberattacks and how these can affect your computer system, and how a hacker will try to use you.
  • The different types of malware that hackers can use against you.
  • How a man in the middle, DoS, Trojans, viruses, and phishing can all be tools of the hacker.
  • And so much more.

Hacking is often an option that most people will not consider because they worry that it is going to be evil, or that it is only used to harm others. But as we will discuss in this guidebook, there is so much more to the process than this.

When you are ready to learn more about hacking with Kali Linux and how this can benefit your own network and computer, make sure to check out this guidebook to get started!

Not what the title says

This book is about basic, general cyber security, not hacking with Kali Linux. Only one chapter talks about Kali, and it just describes how to install it. There are long silences in the middle of sentences, making some chapters difficult to listen to. I honestly don't know if it's the narrator, or if gaps were added to lengthen the audio. The book is a good intro to cyber security, but didn't contain the advanced or Kali related information I was looking for.

This book......is.........hard to listen.......to.

Content is good for beginners if you're looking for an overview of what cybersecurity entails, but it's not really about "hacking" at all, and there is almost no information about Kali Linux. The only thing substantial about Kali Linux that was discussed was in one chapter with vague and general information about how to dual boot Linux and Windows. More concerning: what's with all the random pauses in the reader's speech?

I do not recommend this book.

good for gramma

this does a good job of explaining what your Gramma was asking about when she asked what you do for a living. not for technical audiences. narration was like a frog humping and continually stopping to catch it breath. total crap.

Very nice and simple audiobook

Very nice and simple audiobook. To the point. It provides basic understanding and knowledge about hacking. Also, tools that can be used and materials to advance in this world.

Nice for beginners like me

This audible book teaches students how to use hacking tools and techniques properly and ethically. It provides a clear explanation of every step of the way so that any aspiring hacker can understand all concepts and practice what they learn. I would like to keep this audio book.

Book is not about Kali Linux and a hard listen

There are long silences in the middle of sentences and random pauses in the reader's speech making it difficult to listen to. This book is very basic, very general cybersecurity, not hacking with Kali Linux, and almost no information about Kali Linux. One chapter talks about installing Kali. Kali is so much much more. Sounds like the gaps were added to lengthen the audio. I do not recommend this book. I think all of your review on 01-22-2020 are fake.

Unlistenable

Like another reviewer said, long pauses in random places inserted to lengthen the book. Don’t waste your time.

Boring and choppy

I have never hacked...ever and I'm 4 chapters in and know more than what's already been discussed. Gives you definition after definition but does not actually teach you HOW to do anything at all so far....

couldn't make it past chapter 1, worst reader yet.

the reader, Jordan Blom, pauses midsentence for way too long at random points (paragraph/chapter end breaks where a comma is and no pause for other commas). This is barely listenable and really seems like no one ever listened to the audio file before uploading.

Title is very misleading

Pros: Quick Read

Cons: One chapter includes Kali and it is about installing the OS. Everything else is cybersecurity theory.

Summary: If you know nothing about cybersecurity then this book would be a good intro to that. Don't expect to know what to do past installing Kali.

Mauvais livre

Il n’y a rien sur Kali Linux excepté l’installation du logiciel.
Le reste c’est des généralités sur la Cybersecurity !!
