Publisher's Summary

Our lives have become so busy that we are living in a constant state of go, go, go. What did you do last Thursday? What about two weeks ago Monday? Our days are so consumed with emails, telephone calls, errands, status updates, texts, and tweets that entire days go by without one single moment of joy. And we wonder why we are stressed out, anxiety-ridden, tired, walking zombies. Lifestyle and wellness guru Yeah Dave offers a fresh take on what it means to be well and reminds the listener that happiness leads to health, not health to happiness.

This audiobook shares simple, immediate ways to feel celebrate life and feel better. This isn't about green juices and crazy diet regimens. To get you started, Dave asks the listener to take one minute out of our day - 1:11pm for example - to stop and RELAX. Dave's mantra: The one who celebrates the small victories and simple pleasures wins the game of life over and over again!

Terrible story, no value, waste of time

Wish I could return this book and get back the hours I spent listening to it. This author is a privileged whiner, telling stories from the average child hood. No real resilience or real life lessons from his anecdotal whiny stories. This guy must be an excellent marketer.

Back to my roots

I will admit that I am biased, since David (the author) was one of my first yoga instructors back in Phoenix. It was an enormous pleasure to hear his voice again and his witty stories. It was Yeah Dave that helped my find my 'center' both on and off the mat. His guidance has been instrumental in helping me live the life I imagined. This book was an important refresher of the important things. 😊

Yeah Dave

Dave isn't the typical person I'd listen to. He's got a nasally voice, runs a yoga practice, and is in the self-help category. My initial thoughts were, "I'm going to listen to this and complain about it friends for fun because I'm about to chow down on the motherlode of positivity BS."

I'm glad I listened. The book flows nicely with a morning walk. Mnemonics keep the juicy bits of wisdom memorable. He's very candid and vulnerable rather than pompous and over-promising.

Yeah, sure, you're going to read some of the tips in this book on a blog. It's inevitable because it's sort of universal. You're probably not going to find many secrets, but you'll have a better understanding of where the wisdom is applicable.

Powerful ideas shared in an easy to understand and immediately enable you to put in practice to better enjoy the present moment

If you want to enjoy your journey through life more, this book offers practical tips to help you focus on the present moment. It is a great book to listen too because Dave reads it himself and he has a both an encouraging and easy to listen to voice that enables the reader to listen to what he is saying and think about how to incorporate his ideas into your daily life.

This is one of the only audiobooks I've been able to listen to all the way through. I looked forward to it each day! Very helpful and inspiration!

Good content. I also like author's narration.

Lose the ego. Audiobook is filled with his honesty. Hope this author will write and read a sequel.

practical and perfectly timed for today

"Yeah Dave" did marvellous job of narrating. His pace and personal touch made it easy to listen to. I found the anecdotal examples enjoyable and not over-done. I love the idea that focusing on one's mental health is just as important as one's physical health... maybe more important. Highly recommended.

Joel Osteen reference had me end this book prematurely.

I got about 4 hours into this audiobook, planned on finishing it but then Joel Osteen got brought up… why? He is an awful human and contributed nothing to the message of this book - I don’t want to hear references of him or passages of things he’s spewed. After 3 or so minutes or the continuous Joel talk, I shut it off and won’t finish it. Until that point, the book was decent, nothing life changing or things I haven’t heard before. Very glad I listened to this free with my audible membership bc I would’ve been so disappointed wasting a credit on this. A less than mediocre self-help/self-love type of book, there’s much better out there.

So Good

I’ve listened to many audiobooks on the same topic but this one is excellent. I love the techniques mentioned. I love that he mentions many of his personal growth stories, and it was just very relatable. Also, the voice was very pleasant. Definitely recommend.
