Entertaining series!

Pretty good for a novella. I'll finish the series for sure. Wish they were longer.

Well done.

Well done, but not enough. Merging the interstellar idea with the Magic lores brings the books much closer to the reality.

Sorely disappointed

This is like reading a section of a book that has been torn out. Each novella so far just stops abruptly at what feels like some random point in the story, to be picked up with the next novella. There is zero sense of closure at any novella ending. It's like someone took a whole book, ripped it in to sections, and decided to dole it out to us one section at a time. Paying a credit for each ripped out section. I so loved the sword of truth series, having read the entire thing, including prequels, multiple times. This is such a disappointment. Why the awkward sections? A money grab? After finishing the third novella, I just can't stomach this format, the off performance by the reader, and the abuse of my credits. How many credits will be used up before completing what should have just been a book? I will not be continuing. The rest of what happens to Richard, Kahlen, and their unborn twins will just have remain a mystery.

Disappointed in the length

After completing two of these short stories, I'm overwhelmingly disjointed in the brevity of the book. Combined these novellas are gong to be shorter than the size of a full book in Goodkinds series. Treat it will cost 400% more. Also I just can't get into this narrator. Overall disappointment.

It’s a nice novella

Taking the Sword of Truth epic out of the story review I think is only fair. As this is a Novella of the life after the events that took place, not another book in the sword of truth series. Moving forward, this continues the last book in the series and honestly it was not too bad. Taking into consideration this is a short book, not a 35 hour read, Not that much happens, but what does happen is significant and the tension is there. I didn’t say no, I don’t want to continue reading. That never crossed my mind as Terry Goodkind’s writing just sucks you in. Although I did find myself being reminded of things way too often in the book, but that comes with Terry’s style of writing. I know what I signed up for, and I got the goods and the bads.

Is it magnificent? No
Is it a good read? Yes.

I love this series. Waaaay To Short!

you are barley past the introduction and your done. Im not a casual fan. i LOVE this series and Terrys books. Even with doing this by breaking down the stories. there needs to be more meat on the bone.

Compared to James Pattersons "Book Shots" short stories. this book needs more.

the cliffhanger ending was amazing. but the ground you cover from start to finish just isnt enough.

and now. we wait for part 3.

It’s like paying full price for 1/3 of a book.

I’m a Goodkind fan. Like a huge fan. But this “series” is a ripoff. This length of book was the equivalent of the introduction of a typical TG novel. There’s no conclusion- not even a clean stopping point. It just ends abruptly, and we’re left with the option of shelling out another credit for the next “episode” or dropping the story. So disappointed.

Too short and only part of a story.

We have been waiting a long time to hear another Richard and Kahlan saga. The author broke what should be one story into five novelettes, must be short on cash. Really sticks in my crawl. Saying that, it's good to revisit the series.

Hateful Things

The title says it all. If this volume were bound with book 1 and the pair on sale, it would be a good buy. As a story, it just tells us about hateful things, and a warning not to let central characters take your children behind closed doors. I will remove the remaining volumes from my wish list.

Enjoyful but repetitive

His books could probably easily be an hour or shorter if he did not constantly repeat information as if us readers are too stupid to remember from two pages earlier. Sounds harsh, but aside from that, I really truly do love these stories.
