Absolutely stunning series! I did a tandem read and listened on audio. The audio performance was flipping fantastic. Stella and Jack did a fantastic job

The story is not a fluffy rainbows and sunshine kind of story. It absolutely is a dark romance with dark themes but these themes are explored with the most utmost reverence and in my opinion honesty.
This is a dark story with dark themes and graphic scenes. Keep your triggers in mind

I loved how Pam made you feel connected to each and every character. The story was jam packed with action and had so much tension.

It’s a story of trauma, of found family, and how you can start a new life after surviving unspeakable tragedy.

There were some hard parts to get through but I think the story needed those scenes to truly be able to feel what the characters were going through

If you like dark romance and like to see characters overcome some of the most horrific situations and make it out on the other side. Please do not skip this trilogy.

I found myself so resentful towards the husband that it somewhat soured the story for me. That was more of a "me" issue then it was an issue with the story or Pam's writing. As with the first two novels in the series, she did an amazing job in writing the conclusion to the series. Even to the point where my resentment eased considerably. I think once I am able to revisit this series for a second listen, I can do so with fresh ears. I love the little missed details and connections you find when you do a series revisit. I think this one will be really good. And I found out that there is a good reason to plan a second listen... a fourth book is in the works about an important character that never got a lot of page time. I don't do spoilers so if you want any info, you are going to have to look at other reviews. All I can say is I am so excited for this series to get another book and this character to get their time in the spotlight.
