wow
I really enjoyed listening to this book. I felt so many emotions while listening thru her journey of recovery. I found myself many times with tears in my eyes, feelings of sadness, shock and joy.
She is a beautiful human.

Captivating, inspirational, and funny
This was such an engaging book I could not stop listening. The writing is beautiful, raw and brought alive by the authors witty humor. As this is an audiobook I just want to say that the author’s voice was animated and expressive and easy to listen too.

Amazing Story
This book is inspirational in every sense of the word. To write about your ordeal in such a way is mind boggling! Katie survive such a tragic accident, going from a delightful free spirit to a destroyed human subjected to so much pain. It shows what humans are capable of surrounded by love. Look forward to your next book!

Inspiring, frank, a good listen
Katie's story is both breathtakingly frightening and inspiring. I have often wondered how I would go on living if I suffered a tragic accident, and my life as I knew it ended. Now I don't wonder so much. By sharing her journey ~ made better by hearing her speak it, in her own voice ~ I can see the ups and downs, the emotional rollercoaster, the path towards acceptance, and seizing life all over again. I also appreciated Katie's sense of humour as she shared her experience. Thanks for sharing Katie.

Triumph
Wow. What this young woman went through, what she not only survived but learned so much about gratitude from is staggering. Certainly puts a bad hair day in perspective. She's honest about her weaknesses while celebrating her strength. You should probably read this book.

Being human and living a full life
Listening to Katie McKenna telling her story and life changing experiences I cried, I laughed, I learned about just being human. I couldn't stop listening. This is one of the best books I have heard on Audible. A story with all the emotions of being human.

Well Told Story!
It was a devastating accident, but Katie told it in a way that you felt for her and laughed with her. It was great to hear her Point of view throughout her whole experience. I highly recommend this book.

Great story about perseverance
I really liked the overall story and descriptive explanation of her feelings and how she explained how vulnerable she felt! She is a fighter yet still showed how she needed her loved ones to help keep that fighting spirit. Very honest and heartfelt story! It made me sad to know how some hospital staff treat vulnerable patients, especially patients that may not have loved supporting them!
