Comedian Tom Segura is incapable of doing an Asian accent. He can't dazzle you with puppets or an acoustic guitar. What Tom Segura can do is tell jokes. Jokes about black people, Mexican people, homeless people, little people, and, yes, his balls. But he’s light enough, endearing enough and downright wacky enough to tackle these topics without sounding like a fulminating Tea Party candidate or a Ragin' Palin apostle on his delightfully deranged and dippy debut album.

Publisher's Summary
INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER
A fresh, hilarious, and relatable collection of essays about everything from motherhood and marriage to sobriety and work-life balance (or imbalance) from the nationally bestselling author of the “honest, complicated” (SheKnows) Idiot.
TRIGGER WARNING: TORN EVERYTHING!
In her first book, Idiot, bestselling author Laura Clery gave us mind-blowingly personal life stories about addiction, toxic relationships, and recovery—establishing herself as the preeminent voice of infinite conviction meets zero impulse control. Here she is two kids later asking, “How did we get here?” Sex. Sex is how we got here.
Laura’s life has changed a great deal since she wrote Idiot, but her hilarious candor has only increased with motherhood—plus she tells some of the stories she was too scared to tell in her first book (which is really saying something). In Idiots, Laura shares more than anyone ever asked for about:
- Mucus plugs, vacuum extraction, and adult diapers
- Dousing doulas, VagTime, and pelvic organ prolapse
- Vaginismus, laxative overdose, and accidental lactivism
- Placenta pills, mom brain, and vibrator manifestation
- Nipple-twisting orgies and flinging a butt burrito in your doctor’s face
- ADHD, autism, postpartum depression, and the wisdom of a ninety-eight-year-old sage named Anne
- Unsolicited dick, sexual assault, and sister-drugging
- Stephen’s cheating, Laura’s cheating, fights, and forgiveness
- Choosing love over fear and healing the world
Laura does not hold back when it comes to sharing stories of screw-ups, triumphs, and learning from her mistakes. Whether she’s crying into a diaper in a Whole Foods parking lot or desperately soliciting advice from a random elderly stranger (who has most certainly considered a restraining order), Laura is able to laugh at herself even during her worst moments—more important, she makes us laugh, cry, and feel less alone in the world.

Loved it
After listening to Idiot I knew I would enjoy Laura’s second book Idiots. She is funny, entertaining, honest and just digs deep into the real stuff we call life. I love hearing the audio in her own voice…makes it easier to hear the authors thoughts come out with their voice. If you are a Laura Clery fan you will definitely enjoy this book.
She is also so real about autism and brought a different way to look at it. My nephew is autistic and my niece has Asperger’s so hearing Laura’s version was like turning on a lightbulb for me.

Best Effing book EVER
This book rocked me to my core! I feel like I learned a lot about MY own life listening to the author tell her own story. I may not have done over half the stuff she did BUT the things I did relate to it was like she was telling my own story. I’m currently dealing with the same things that are near the end of this book ( which I’m not going to spoil because you HAVE to hear it for yourself ) and it gives me hope and makes me realize that I’m still young and to keep going. Thank you so much for telling us your story! Why am I crying!?

Such a great book
The first one I loved hearing her story and experiences, it was hard to relate to (for me), but oh was it funny. This book felt like anyone could find something to relate to, either addiction, relationships, work, motherhood, etc. It was a great listen, I love hearing Laura read this book, she brings another level to the story when she reads it. This one I feel had so much more knowledge and experiences that I could learn from, Almost felt like a self help book, but so much funnier. Thank you Laura.

Once Again COULDN'T PUT THIS DOWN!
I went straight from listening to Idiot, to immediately purchasing and listening to Idiots. I hope Laura continues to write about her life because these 2 books have inspired me so much. I relate so much to the fears, insecurities, and intrusive thoughts expressed in these books. Hearing how another person was able to overcome the struggles in life that I am convinced are impossible for me, gives me so much hope. I never feel preached at in her books, or talked down to, or fear mongered. I just feel seen, understood and NOT ALONE. When I first went to buy this book I saw this ridiculously long negative review that freaked me out a bit. But I had LOVED the first book so much I ignored it as an over reaction. I'm here to confirm that ALL those negative statements in that review were incorrect and really reaching to persuade people not to read this. I'm so glad I did. Laura is changing my life.

Felt honest and refreshing
I loved her first book and was so thrilled she had a second coming out! I was not disappointed by this book I thought it was amazing it felt more honest than her first and I don’t mean that I thought she wasn’t telling the truth in the first I just think she felt much more confident and shared in a more open way. My recovery from opiates was so difficult and is still difficult but now that I have years of sobriety under my belt I feel like we get our footing and she really has her footing in this book.
