Fun Idea, but Didn’t Love the Audio

This was a fun idea and it was nice to see how different authors played with the dark academia themes. Some stories were better than others. My favourite story was “Weekend at Bertie’s” which makes sense because it was written by the author of my favourite book in the dark academia genre/cannon M. L. Rio, author of “If We Were Villains.” (I’m trying to read them all, that’s why I picked up this collection in the first place.)

Unfortunately I did NOT like the two voice actors who performed these stories. I found them both to be quite difficult to listen to with strange cadences and a very raspy/ whispering sound. I was able to press through to finish the book but unfortunately I don’t think I would pick another audio book performed by either one of these actors. However, everything is subjective so their voices might really work for you!
