Story
What is karma? Most people understand karma as a balance sheet of good and bad deeds, virtues and sins. The mechanism that decrees that we cannot evade the consequences of our own actions. In reality, karma has nothing to do with reward and punishment. Karma simply means action: your action, your responsibility. It isn’t some external system of crime and punishment, but an internal cycle generated by you. Accumulation of karma is determined only by your intention and the way you respond to what is happening to you.

Story
Sadhguru dvelves on a variety of subjects, ranging from the concepts of time, quantum mechanics, different parts of the mind, religion, and meditation. This book is laced with humor and incisive logic, and moves towards an interesting climax where it is acknowledged that science and mysticism meet at a certain point. Exploring the possibilities and the pitfalls of the mind, Sadhguru lays bare the deceptive drama of the mind that, as he says, “can take you to great heights” as well as “render you to the depths of hell within yourself.”

Publisher's Summary
Achieve absolute well-being with the classical science of yoga
The practice of what is commonly known as hatha yoga is but one of eight branches of the body of knowledge that is yoga. Yoga is a sophisticated system of self-empowerment that is capable of harnessing and activating inner energies in such a way that your body and mind function at their optimal capacity. It is a means to create inner situations exactly the way you want them, turning you into the architect of your own joy. A yogi lives life in this expansive state, and in this transformative book Sadhguru tells the story of his own awakening from a boy with an unusual affinity for the natural world to a young daredevil who crossed the Indian continent on his motorcycle. He relates the moment of his enlightenment on a mountaintop in southern India, where time stood still and he emerged radically changed.
Teachings and tools for a life of joy
As Sadhguru explains, the term guru means, "Dispeller of darkness, someone who opens the door for you. As a guru, I have no doctrine to teach, no philosophy to impart, no belief to propagate. And that is because the only solution for all the ills that plague humanity is self-transformation. Self-transformation means that nothing of the old remains. It is a dimensional shift in the way you perceive and experience life." The wisdom distilled in this accessible, profound, and engaging audiobook offers you time-tested tools that are fresh, alive, and radiantly new. Inner Engineering presents a revolutionary way of thinking about our humanity and the opportunity to achieve nothing less than a life of joy.

You simply cannot go wrong with sadhguru !!
The title explains it simplest and best in my humble opinion. I think once introduced to his efforts and wisdom in bringing yoga to the world. The more I've watched, read and learned the more my respect and admiration for him has grown. Considering I really wasn't at all interested in yoga, I mean seriously at all Period.!!! Now in Giving him his due credit , he honestly turned me on to yoga by "tuning "my brain into the simple and practical wisdom that seems to flow from him effortlessly ,then more and more complicated aspects of it as you begin to want more from it like theology and history . He's very easy to relate to and enjoy until now only six to nine months later be practicing and studying it daily. With online courses....... I'd say that's a friggin miracle. From absolutely zero desire to learn yoga to including it into my Daily life ! I still don't believe it...also .He's basically everywhere for free eg. YT, FB most social media, So you can preview a huge number of his many interviews and talks easily and freely. you will be planting a seed and it will grow !!! So if your looking for a little more sense from the world in wisdom from a mystic ......or only the gurus level of enlightenment lol. He's worth your time and undivided attention and your life will change ! You will change ! Goodluck.

simple and refines
What an incredible book. The Sadhguru provides such a simple way to look at like and helps the listener understand a number of concepts that people tend to toss around to casually. He helps you view the world in a much easier, more involved and incredibly more caring way.
This is a book the listener will definitely have to come back to reading as the meaning he lays out for us will change as we evolve and transform.
I wish to give my personal thanks to the Sadhguru and the Isha Kriya Foundation for giving this gift to the world.
