The mission of “Gaslighting,” is described perfectly in the subtitle: “Recognize Manipulative and Emotionally Abusive People—and Break Free.” I listen this fascinating book like a novel. I especially enjoyed learning some new terms for typical manipulative maneuvers such as “love-bombing,” “flying monkeys,” and “hoovering.” Once you have labels for typical gaslighter gambits, it’s far easier to recognize and counter them.
