Story
Stockbroker Isabelle Rhodes has a lot of money, a lot of trust issues, and a whole lot of reasons to believe her ex-girlfriend was right when she said that Isabelle sucked at relationships. With that accusation stuck in her head, Isabelle throws caution to the wind and dives into her first one-night stand. Checking that off her bucket list should be something to celebrate - except it turns out that the woman she just spent an earth-shattering night with is actually her newly hired company pilot, Audrey Graham. Ms. Never-See-You-Again just turned into Ms. See-You-Constantly.

Story
Sutton Spencer's ideas for her life were fairly simple: finish graduate school and fall in love. It would be a lot simpler if she could pinpoint exactly what she should do when she graduates in less than a year. Oh, and if she could figure out how to talk to a woman without feeling like a total mess, that would be great, too. Charlotte Thompson is very much the opposite.

Story
Captain Sabine Fleischer is a skilled and dedicated US Army surgeon deployed to a combat hospital in Afghanistan. She is also one of the thousands of troops who are forced to serve in silence because of the military's anti-gay policy of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell (DADT)". Usually driven and focused, Sabine finds that battles raging both inside and outside are making it more and more difficult for her to deal with her emotions. Dealing with loss and mortality, lack of privacy, sleep deprivation, loneliness, and the isolation forced on her by Don't Ask, Don't Tell are all taking their toll.

Finally a tame lesbian romance novel
This book. I have had it for awhile. It’s my second purchase of a lesbian romance novel and I didn’t grab my attention fast enough. Plus I’m ashamed to say it took a long time for me to realize that Abby Craden is freakin fantastic. It took listening to her narrator another book. This book her voice is low and not super cute for both MCs. Kind of boring but after I knew of Craden’s talents (after reading all of her Georgia Beers books 😍) I was way more patient with her. Yes, the narrator is a huge thing to me. This story especially. It’s not a typical lesbian romance novel. For example, there’s no slowwwww burn romance for 2/3 of the book. The characters kissed pretty early on and there was very little fighting with your feelings and trying to deny them, no. There’s also no freakin breakup 3/4 through the book! Seriously. Once this couple is together, they stay together. The denouement is NOT the two MCs forgiving one or the other and getting together again. That is huge as far as lesbian romance novels go. I can only think of one or two other novels when the MCs don’t break up and for those, it’s usually due to them not getting together till the end.
This book was completely refreshing. Not too much medical stuff, which I fully appreciate. That stuff is boring in a novel. In my opinion. Not too much drama. Just enough. The sex scenes are tasteful. One complaint is why does 90% of lesbian romance novels have to be extremely descriptive with the MCs pubic hair. This one was overly descriptive for me. I, and most the lesbians I’ve been with prefer completely shaved. I wish I could ask these authors why they add that tiny detail in so much. Anyway minor complaint, no biggie. Great book.

Great Book!
I can’t say enough about this audible! The book had depth as both main characters are willing to honestly look at themselves to promote change and growth.
The medical scenes were well done and realistic. Being a medical professional it’s frustrating and mitigates the realism of a book, if the author has not done her research. This author definitely has done hers.
In my opinion there is no better narrator than Abby Craden. She is the best!
I look forward to more by both Chris Zett and Abby Craden.

Great Audiobook
I enjoyed this one from start to finish. Love a bit of ice queen, slow burn romance, in a hospital setting. The main characters and secondary characters are likable. Abby Craden narrating is always a pleasure. So worth your time. I will be listening to this one over and over.

Just ok , sorry
I love any lesbian lover books. I’m a retired RN as well , but this one was flat . Is the writer really a lesbian or have any idea about ER’s??? Not best effort for either story line. Sorry. Maybe a new listener to this genre will like it .

loved the narration, did not love the story
The best part of this book was the narration. Though no matter how good Abby Craden is, this story still fell flat. It was a long slow burn with a few sparks but no real fire. I wanted to like it, I tried, and I kept listening until the very end but all I felt was disappointment.

Great book
Great narration as always, the only complaint I have is the quality of the sound, Ms Craden has a beautiful sexy Alto which is very quite as well, and it was hard in some cases to actually hear her, and my devise was at its highest volume.
I loved the characters, Diana is a very strong character, I would have loved to know a little more about Emily’s relations with her mother (don’t we all have some espies with our mothers?)
All in all, get this book it is a great one.

Fantastic medical romance with a twist
Abby Craden as the narrator sold this audio book for me. The story was amazing...different...unique from other similar lesbian medical romances. Never thought I would enjoy this genre written by an author other than Radclyffe. I will be looking for other books by Chris Zett.
