Excellent thriller
This one reminded me of Silence of the Lambs. I enjoyed the way the backstory unfolded as the story went on, particularly Jonas Blackheart's. A short one considering the immense stakes, but it keeps the pace high. Good plot twists await you! Enjoy with some fava beans and a nice Chianti. Recommended!

Silence of the...!
We’re invited to an excellent thriller that gets better and better until you can stop listening. Emma Locke, a junior CIA agent, is handed the case of her life. Jonas Blackheart, a CIA trained clairvoyant, is critical in stopping a terrorist viral attack against the U.S... Agent Locke has her own personal demons to deal with, which clairvoyant Blackheart is aware of. Tension builds as Locke and Blackheart confront the inner demons that haunted her. The virus threat continues to play a role in the plotline but takes a back seat to Locke’s story. Very good tale, several twists that keep you wanting more until the end. A complex thriller.
Jonas Blackheart ..
It is a complex plot, and jumps back to the past quite a bit. Whilst this is not unusual for thrillers these days, it makes the story difficult to follow at times. Though I must say the audiobook is well worth the effort.
And as an audiobook I highly recommend it for anyone who likes tense thrillers.
Narration is OK - I've given it 3 stars - because I personally don't like the style of the narration.
There is nothing wrong with it, it's just a personal preference.

This was an enjoyable book to listen to, although the narrator's voice was somewhat monotone.

Good Read
Jonas Blackheart: The 7th Jackal was a good read by J.L. Davis. Emma Locke doesn't remember much about the brutal murder of her sister. But those dark corners of her memory are about to light up. Emma is a rookie CIA profiler at a high security facility in Area 51. She suspects that clairvoyant, Jonas Blackheart, is her sister's executioner. She wants revenge for her sister, but she needs to keep him alive to stop a national catastrophe. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.
