Despite constant efforts to declutter your home, do papers still accumulate like snowdrifts and clothes pile up like a tangled mess of noodles?Japanese cleaning consultant Marie Kondo takes tidying to a whole new level, promising that if you properly simplify and organize your home once, you'll never have to do it again. Most methods advocate a room-by-room or little-by-little approach, which doom you to pick away at your piles of stuff forever.

In his international bestseller, The Happiness Advantage, Harvard-trained researcher Shawn Achor described why happiness is the precursor to greater success. Before Happiness is about what comes before both. Because before we can be happy or successful, we need to first develop the ability to see that positive change is possible. Only once we learn to see the world through a more positive lens can we summon all our motivation, emotion, and intelligence to achieve our personal and professional goals.

Some Great Tips
I've read (listened to) Kondo's other two books, and was concerned there might not be anything new here. I wasn't disappointed though, as I found some very useful ideas that I've already implemented. I found the segment on Digital Files and emails particularly helpful. I do wish a PDF file had been included though, as I found the audio challenging to navigate. The chapters on my device don't line up with the chapters being narrated. Still, I'm happy with my purchase and am rethinking how I approach my workspace.
