Publisher's Summary

Child abuse true stories presents: volume 2 of Kat Ward's sensational autobiography!

Being a teenager isn't easy. Even kids who grow up in happy, loving households encounter all manner of problems during adolescence. But children who were abused, raped, bullied, mistreated, or neglected during their earliest years, face the transition at an even greater disadvantage. For they not only come completely ill-prepared, but also badly scarred, and often are still licking the wounds from their childhoods.

This second volume of Kat Ward's sensational autobiography covers her plight as she grew in stature, and began to challenge the authority structures that had ruled over her young life so cruelly up until that point. It was a desperate rebellion in true teen spirit, but even with all the will in the world, she was still a child in a world full of grown-ups. And if there's one thing an abuser knows all too well, it's how to wield their power over the powerless...

Bitter truth!!!

I originally listened to Keri 1 and was horrified to the levels of abuse she endured. When I saw there was a Keri 2 I had to purchase to finish out the story! If you're are searching for a story about a young girl making her way through life surrounded by incompetent/abusive adults, this is it!

So sad...

I feel for this poor girl so much! The things she went through is appalling! And that almost no one believed her is equally appalling. On top of that I feel so bad for those poor cats and that poor, poor dog! I'm an animal lover, and have cried so much for what happened to her beloved dog. Poor Tammi, poor Keri...

Sad But True

This story captivates you because the abuse just goes on and on and goes beyond belief. The fact that this child kept coming in contact with authorities, kept telling her story to those who are trained to see abuse and identify it and yet was never believed is disturbing. The reader is riveting.

Must read/listen to story!!

It is hard to believe that social services would allow this to happen, I know for a fact that they do, maybe not all ... must. Reason being you take a troubled house and you can go whichever way you want, being that either true or lie is believable! There are always THREE SIDES TO A STORY, EVENT, HAPPENING...

Haunting

I can't get enough of these books and it will be hard for the series to end for me. I am not trying to say anything this young girl went through is ok, I just find the story gripping. I think I have laughed, teared up, and even gasped as I have listened.
It is so hard truly sad that when we are in our early years our home life so effects our adult years, but no one looks out for kids.

Amazingly sad

My heart breaks for Keri. Just when you think she might be able to escape, life sucks her back in.
