Publisher's Summary

What do you do when your planet runs out of women? Send for takeout, of course.

Kash knows he'll never be allowed to claim a mate. A lifetime of military service has left him too battle-scarred and broken to be considered for the off-world mating project his rulers have created to save their people.

His job is to make sure the more fortunate males get to Earth to retrieve their mates. All he has to do is pilot the ship, stay undetected, and keep an eye on things from orbit. It should be the easiest mission of his career...until he lays eyes on the one thing he never expected to find. His mate.

This book contains a hopeful romantic who is giving up hope, and a soldier who is about to discover that love doesn't obey orders, and it can't be bound by rules.

Chock one up for the Chunky Dunker!

If you've ever been insecure because of your weight, skin colour, or all of the above, here's a little "ha ha!" fun romance escapism novel for you to read. While the narrator is clearly beginner level, the story is enjoyable, the characters find each other despite the system, and the outcome clearly screams, "Tough on you!" Kash Kadar is a Pyrosian alien. Gwen is a curvy, 37 year old African American. The Pyrosian genetic issue has resulted in females being born in less and less quantities with every generation. Because full genetic mating results in the Pyrosian males being able to unlock their ability to manipulate fire, and thus maintain their race's monopoly on trade routes and other issues, having no females means the potential extinction and potential loss of all. Traces of Pyrosian DNA have been found on earth, but it is against the law to involve oneself in a less evolved race, so only the youngest, influential, and most powerful families can get away with involving themselves in this issue. Kash Kadar is the military escort to earth. Gwen is the rejected (too old,) room-mate of two of the accepted potential earth-woman candidates. When Kash goes to keep Gwen from panicking when her room-mates don't come home, such a spark erupts between the two of them, that they can't deny the power. This is a really fun read, and if you have ever experienced these issues in your life, just the bit of escapism that you have been waiting for. There are irritants, like, one of the character's names is Vadir (Vah-DEER) and the narrator says it, "Vay-DER" (like Darth Vader), but, overall, it is a really cool little audiobook.
