  • Summary

  • Peter Foster is a career conman who charmed his way into the lives of the rich and famous around the world. Justin Armsden is the reporter who’s been on his tail for 25 years.

In King Of Sting, the two play cat and mouse as Armsden retraces Foster’s merciless series of stings, from Australia’s glittery Gold Coast to London, Fiji and beyond. Armsden reveals how Foster swindled more than $100 million from hopeful victims while earning the trust of Muhammad Ali, British first lady Cherie Blair, and singer-songwriter Samantha Fox.

With secretly recorded conversations and a private investigator on side, King of Sting exposes the enormous power Foster has built for himself, and his many unbelievable escapes from the law.

Now, as Foster hatches his latest scam under a new alias, Armsden hopes to catch the fraudster in the act for the final time.

Not bad

Interesting story, well performed, but at the end of the day it’s white collar crime, and I really could care less about rich peoples lives. Interesting to learn about fjd different scams though. Figures it’s a diet scam.

Interesting family!

This is a true story. Millions of dollars gained in repeated fraudulent schemes. Weight-loss and high returns on money, two things that interest lots of ordinary people. Peter Foster worked hard to put these schemes together. How tragic that he wasted his creative potential to prey on others - it might have been used for a good cause. It made me think twice about my on-line purchases. It added to my frustration to think about how many scammers are never caught or stopped.

Struggled to finish

This is an interesting topic but it could have been compressed into 5 maybe 6 episodes instead of 8.
There's a lot of recapping from one episode to another.
Tip fast forward 5 minutes into each episode as they don't fully start until that mark.
