A delightful starting point for the series
i returned to the story of Miles after many years away from it, and found this book the perfect place to pickup the story line. Miles mission as a royal auditor is interesting enough, but the real joy for me was the start of a slow burn romance.

Bujold delivers
Fun, great pacing, excellent range. Time well spent. The entire series is a classic and deserves its position as a fan favourite.
