Limitless Life

I love Jim Kwik. He is my super hero. I have struggled for the past 42 years of life feeling limited in so many ways by my own mind. Diagnosed with general Anxiety disorder as well as suspected Adhd, Jim's podcasts lead me to explore deeper into the subject of the brain and how nutrition affects us. Now I can say I am finally feeling unrestrained by anxiety. lack of focus and brain fog. I feel good. Now I'm finally moving forward. This book is a concentration of all of what he has to teach and it has such value. Listen to it.

Conversational component

The conversational component of the book is distracting and irritating. If I wanted that component, I’d listen to a podcast. Should have been put into a separate section of the book so that you could easily bypass it if you wanted to. It doesn’t provide anything extra and it distracts from the flow of the book. An unfortunate mistake in a book that I otherwise would have rated highly. I like Jim Kwik, but this book is just plain annoying. Listen to his podcast instead; it’s less irritating. And free.

Not worth it.

This is long and drawn out for no reason. I had to keep the audio book speed at 1.25x just because it was going by so slow. I would not suggest this book to anyone.

Terrible narration!

This pales in comparison to the amazing material and narration of Atomic Habits. I could not finish it.

Gotta say, I love it the memory chapter the most, didn't think it would work at all.

Garbage.

This book is another fine example of why most authors should NOT read/narrate their own books! And the pace! Good Lord I can watch my own fingernails grow at a quicker pace than this book. Painful. Boring. Should have been a 30 min podcast. Kwik speaks with a “period” after every second or third word. Combine that with his terrible voice, the boring content, the useless “interview” crap, and never getting to the point, left me wanting to gouge my eardrums out with a rusty spoon. Save yourself. Don’t listen to this book. Put your electronics away for a few hours a day, practice mindfulness and focusing on the task at hand and your halfway done this mess already.

good advice... boring monotone voice

the things he teaches in this book are very useful. but the way he reads it and his voice is so boring it took me 2 weeks to get through it. at one point he talks about how someone could be talking about an interesting topic and make it seem so boring, and the irony is that's how I felt throughout this book

Where’s the beef? Book is like trying to find a needle in a hat stack.

The author has some good information in this book, but it takes a long time to find. I realized that the author follows a pattern. Here is the pattern. Let’s say you want to learn about how to thinly slice tomatoes. The author would do the following: 1) 15 minutes saying that you are capable of slicing tomatoes like a pro. 2) explains that you were taught incorrectly how to slice tomatoes 3) shares some examples of when he has served thinly sliced tomatoes and everyone was amazed at how thin they were (but he doesn’t tell you how to do it). 4) explains what a tomato is and what a beautiful thing a thin sliced tomato can be. 5) tells you again that you have the power to thinly slice tomatoes. 6) Briefly tells you actually how to slice the tomato (here is the needle in the haystack). Doesn’t tell you too much and instead tells you to go to his website for more details and resources. 7) Tells you how thinly sliced tomatoes are amazing...again. 8) shares how he’s gone to Fortune 500 companies to help them thinly slice tomatoes.

Wow what a waste of time

This book is so frustrating. If I wanted Tony Robbins, I'd listen to Tony Robbins. This book is 80% self promotion of his other programs (HoW MaNy CoUnTrIeS aRe yOu ReAcHiNg, JiM?!?!) WHO CARES. It's all motivional b.s. The whole book could be compacted into 20 pages max of actual useful and applicable material for boosting memory and such. Seriously if you want a good book on memory techniques that doesn't read like a Sudden Valley real estate pamphlet, read "Moonwalking with Einstein" by Joshua Foer

I was with it until chapter 2

I hated it and returned it as soon as I realized chapters 2, 3, 4 and who knows how many more were interview format. I wanted a book, not an interview. I wanted to like this, but the first chapter was pointless and the interview chapters were boring.

What a waste of time!!

This is the most useless self improvement book I have ever listened too. There is nothing new here. His stories drive me crazy. It is also very weird to hear grown adults talking about super hero's as if he's still 5 years old. I read an article that said Elon Musk hired this guy. If you think this guy made any positive impact don't you think Musk would be telling people about him. I think this guy is simply repeating already available information. His narrating also drove me crazy.

One of the worst audiobooks ever

Boring. Terrible narrative. Since the author continually uses acronyms, I have an acronym for this waste of my time: Clueless Repetitive Awful Putrid

Learning How to Learn is Key

Seriously one of the best books I have ever read on teaching me the best ways to learn and understand information. I purchased the audio book just to keep showing support with how much I appreciate this book. Learning how to learn is so vital right now with the amount of competition we have and all the information that we need to know. I started my own online business a year ago and it truly amazes me with how much I have learned in just a year. I also just finished his 21 day speed reading program and my mind is blown with how much i increased the speed I could read, and yes I comprehend the books I read at 600 WPM. Get this book and I guarantee it will change your life when you actually take action with what he says. I dont have kids yet but I know this is one of the books I will be making them read because I know that by having this book will create a better future for them. Thank you for everything!

not what I wanted

I struggled through the book but in the end was not able to finish. I like the story behind the author but his pace was very slow and found myself wandering off not being able to concentrate on what he was saying.

I thoroughly enjoy the post chapter interview/podcast like approach. It helped me understand and think more clearly about the context of each chapter.
