A woman who needed to be saved!?!?
The book offers a glimpse into Canadian life before modernity. The book takes you back in time with it's vivid descriptions and terminologies. Grace’s story is a whirlwind of intrigue. Atwood leaves you wondering if Grace is an innocent victim of circumstance or a calculating temptress. The story highlights familiar sounding city names and places that are famous Canadian cities and still makes the story in international with references to cities abroad. Overall it was very enjoyed to listen to and experience.

So much detail...
I like Margaret Atwood's work wherever I find it. I'm going to be processing this portrayal of hers for a very long time. There's just so much depth to the times and characters that leaves me appreciative of the times in which I I was born and enjoy more for knowing such a comparison.

So interesting
Definitely recommend, though it does drag at times- especially at the end. Graces character was very interesting and the twist was unexpected and enjoyable. I still don’t know what to make of it. I don’t know, Margaret Atwood is just always enjoyable but this isn’t my favourite of her novels.
