Story
Why we think it’s a great listen: Never before has an author’s narration of his fiction been so important to fully grasping the book’s impact and global implications. Taking us from Afghanistan in the final days of its monarchy to the present, The Kite Runner is the unforgettable story of the friendship between two boys growing up in Kabul. Their intertwined lives, and their fates, reflect the eventual tragedy of the world around them.

Story
In Othello, Shakespeare creates powerful drama from a marriage between the exotic Moor Othello and the Venetian lady Desdemona. Shakespeare builds many differences into his hero and heroine, including race, age, and cultural background. Yet most audiences believe the couple’s strong love would overcome these differences were it not for Iago, who sets out to destroy Othello.

Story
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

An incredible journey full of universal insight a ne inspiration
Rajiv Surendra brings Pi Patel to life in this book! The narrative is beautiful and the story completely believable in all its complexity and detail. The first part of the book is crucial to the understanding of the whole and that includes the hero‘s experiences with world religions as well as his life in India and his knowledge of zoo animals and animal behaviour. His ultimate survival on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger is truly a journey of faith and a celebration of life.
I loved everything about this audiobook and have listened to it twice already. Amazing.

Fiction or Fact?
I believed that this story was true.....at the end, there was a huge question in my mind whether it was fact or fiction. The story itself was very description and many times, very gory and visual.

Dreamy and relaxing.
Whooah! Gripping tale and brilliant narrating. The writing is dreamy and relaxing, and the narrating is absolutely perfect. The ending is unexpected, and hangs over you like a cloud once you finish. Recommended.

I see what all the fuss is about!
What a story, I had always heard so many good things about the Life of Pi, and decided to finally listen to it. Surendra is entertaining to listen to, having a somewhat cheeky tone to his voice. The story itself is splendid, with ever detail attended to. This is a unique book, with thought provoking content. I would definitely recommend.

Perfectly grounded fiction.
Yann Martel's Life of Pi is nothing short of a immaculately interwoven series of moments of self discovery in the face of life's most seemingly simple challenge, The Move.
As Narrator; Rajiv Surendra gives a truly heartfelt performance. So much so, that at times, it is hard to imagine that you are listening to fiction & not the recordings of a man who has survived a unbearably & yet beautiful trile by sea.
