Publisher's Summary

In the beginning....

Three brothers - Gabriel, Michael, and Lucifer. Royalty. Archangels. United in devotion to their father and all his works.

But when Lucifer learns of their father’s latest creation - a new race, fashioned from crude matter and yet made in his image - he is consumed with resentment. Why have he and his angelic kind been overlooked?

After a bitter confrontation, Lucifer is cast out, doomed to an eternity of exile and punishment.

Unrepentant, he vows he won’t suffer alone. Mankind has made a powerful enemy - one determined to lure it into darkness and torment any way he can....

What the critics say

“There could be no bigger canvas for film-making.” (Mark Ordesky, executive producer, Lord of the Rings)

“Alec not only re-frames pre-history; she also imaginatively illustrates how the realm of spirit impacts the contemporary material world.” (Ileen Maisel, executive producer for The Golden Compass)

“This is the best work of fiction I have read since the last installment of Dean Koontz’ Frankenstein series.” (Jim McDonald, 1340Mag, Online entertainment magazine)

If Tolkien/Marvel/Enoch made Paradise Lost

#LuciferDidNothingWrong and it is literally CRIMINAL that this masterpiece only has 3.5 stars!

What this is NOT: This is not meant to be scripture so if you are getting this and expecting that don't waste your time.
WHAT IT IS: is an incredibly vivid cinematic retelling of the Christian Creation Myth and Biblical Myth, painted on an vast beautiful canvas with words instead of paint. Think Silmarillion with Enoch done my Marvel and you won't go far wrong.

The characterizations of the Lucifer, Michael and Gabriel themselves is truly Brilliant and I really appreciate that this Lucifer is shown to be one of 3 brothers who all dearly love each other and there was never "Evil" until Lucifer was quite literally Set Up to be the VIllain in the story. His character is not one of a Betrayer but rather one who was played and used as a Literally Necessary evil in a much grander scheme by God. and frankly that infuriated me as I had more and more sympathy for Lucifer as the story went on. it is made very clear in the first 3 chapters when God literally Prophecies that Lucifer will betray him, that it was always going to happen and nothing else was ever on the cards.

The Hero is only as Good as the Villain of the Story, which makes Lucifer the most important SuperVillain of all time.
In this story Lucifer's Fall is depicting in a truly epic and tragic way that would befit a Marvel style Super Villain.
Both the "good" and Evil sides of this story are done in an equally majestic and epic manor but in a way that makes them literally polar opposites more as Cosmic Forces performing a vital function then True Evil or Good by choice.
The sheer majesty and Beauty of Heaven and the angels really TRULY gets through with the vivid descriptions of the Archangels and the Cosmos they inhabit. this story and it's following books really are on an epic scale taking place from the literal creation of the Cosmos all the through to the supposed Apocalypse of the End Times.

Maybe not biblically correct... but amazing none the less. I recommend this title fully.

The descriptions and emotions really come through. I didn't know what to expect, but I truly enjoyed this. If you're interested in celestial beings, check this out for sure.

inaccurate

Too many things contradict the understanding of scripture. I understand an author will use some license in adding fiction but this was too much.
