Oscar Wilde's only published full-length novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray, is the story of a man who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for eternal youth. As Basil Hallward, an aspiring artist, puts a few touches on a portrait of his handsome young friend Dorian Gray, Gray wishes that the portrait might grow old while he remains forever young. While Dorian Gray spends his life pursuing fresh experiences and new sensations, his looks do not change. However, the portrait, secretly hidden in the attic of his residence and with which he has grown increasingly obsessed, does. More and more, as Dorian struggles to hide his true identity, the portrait reveals his progressive pathway to dissolution.

Is Stephen Fry actually Oscar Wilde?
Classic story, macabre finish, excellent narration. I would highly recommend this version of Doran Gray!

Stephen has such an amazing work in his performances. Actually without his performances here, I might have never got to read this book. A great one and I guess I would listen to it again in the future.

Book was Amazing but didn't match my text.
I had a paper version of the book that I was following along. At the time, the audio cut across large sections of text. These parts did not seem necessary, so I don't know if they were added in after or not. However, I found it strange that it didn't include these large sections.

An amazing listen
I was completely enthralled by the narrator, every word was brought to life with such splendor. It started fairly flow, I listened to maybe a chapter or two a day then I found myself completely unable to stop and finished the book in 3 straight hours
