Publisher's Summary

Narrated by Richard Armitage and Grace Grant — a breathtaking new romance from #1 New York Times best-selling author Lauren Blakely that will sweep you away!

A British accent is my weakness...

Good thing I can avoid that kind of temptation in my new job in Paris. And when my company hooks me up with my own personal translator, I should be on the fast track for success. Except, he's charming, witty, and, oh yeah, he just so happens to be British, which means everything he says melts me.

Don't mix business with pleasure. I do my best to resist him as he brings the city to life for me. Soon, I can navigate the streets, discuss perfume with my co-workers, and barter at the outdoor market. But I also learn how to tell the sexy man by my side how much I want him to kiss me under the streetlamps.

Except there's a catch — I can't have him.

***

One more assignment before I take off on my big adventure...

And it's a good farewell gig too since my newest client is a fetching American who loves to explore the cafes and cobbled streets while I teach her the language of love. We fall into a fast and flirty friendship, doing our best to resist each other. But you know what they say about best intentions. Soon we're spending our nights together too, and I don't want to let her go. The trouble is, my wanderlust is calling to me, and before we know it, I'll be traveling the globe to fulfill a promise I made long ago.

What could possibly go wrong with falling in love in Paris? Nothing...unless one of you is leaving.

Great Fluffy Escape

I usually listen to history books but was looking for something light & fluffy. This was worth a credit for a great escape, if only for the stunningly seductive voice of Richard Armitage. Audible, please make this man read everything in your library. The story was fairly predictable but who cares, Richard Armitage is whispering in your ear.

Great book

This was one of my first audible books. I really enjoyed the story between Griffin and Joy, the chemistry was amazing. A must read or listen book!

I could listen to Richard Armitage read the phone book

... and that’s pretty similar to what this book was. There was just no PLOT and no real problem to overcome. The first 6 hours of ‘will-they-won’t-they?’ was based upon their mutual desire to keep their relationship professional, even though there would be zero consequences if they didn’t.

But Mr. Armitage’s voice is like liquid chocolate. Dang.

Oh Mon Dieu!

When I sat down to listen to this book, I hadn’t read the synopsis very carefully. I rarely find romances as intoxicating as this one was. It was simply the first in line of books and when I listened to the sample I was intrigued. From the first few words I was hooked. I wanted to know more. I wanted to investigate this woman who was confused and confident all at the same time. I wanted to understand what moves this kind stranger with a hidden agenda. Each of the main characters is so well-rounded I could see them in my mind’s eye as a real person. Even the secondary and tertiary characters have a life that is apparent. The character of Paris itself is palatable. I wanted more. As the story develops you are aware of the sexual tension and yet it is more like violin strings quivering to be touched. You become invested in Griffin and Joy and their relationship. I laughed, I cried and I sobbed uncontrollably. I was curious, I was astounded, I was titillated and I was shocked all in the best way. Never for a moment did my attention waver. I sat quietly and listened and listened . . .

The two actors who read the story brought it to life. I was amazed at their vocal range and I could hear and see the different characters they portrayed. I had no idea that an Audible book could be such an enjoyable performance.

Now I’m going to fantasize about ordering a pain au chocolat in a boulangerie in Paris in my own little Wanderlust

OH MY!

Not usually a fan of romance genre, but I needed a change from murder, mayhem and the world news! Got to say this did the trick! Richard Armitage has the perfect lovers voice and I had to listen with headphones! Nice escape.

A great romance and liquid sunshine narration

This audiobook was fabulous for my commutes, light and easy and romantic and clever and set in Paris - perfect! And most importantly, both narrators were superb, particularly Richard Armitage. Others have mentioned his silky voice and I have to agree his accent is in turns both soothing and sexy, a cross between Jude Law and David Merchant. Sigh.

You had me at Richard Armitage

It was a fun listen. Who does not want to hear about chocolate, temptation and Paris. Both of the narrators were fabulous but it is obvious which points I turned up the volume.

The Best

This is the best of Lauren Blakey. And The narration is exquisite. Just the right blend of sensuality and romance. Not over the top like some of her stuff. The Paris setting is a bonus. Overall, it’s a keeper.

Wow ! That voice !

As much as the storie was pedictable, I just wasn't able to stop just to here the voice of Richard Armittage. Wow ! That man could read the phone book and still be sexy. So imagine when you put sexy words in his mouth.

The story was still funny and enjoyable, and I will probably listen to it again. The author really takes you to Paris and all it's beauty.

Boring

The plot was very linear and i didnt feel the chemistry between the two leads as it was very rushed. It was ok.
