Publisher's Summary

Leave no man behind.

On Detron, a simmering protest boils over and turns deadly when militants hiding among the demonstrators deliberately shoot down a group of legionnaires, executing one survivor and taking two for ransom. The only Republic asset the captured leejes can rely on is a lone marine sniper who defies orders in a desperate attempt to save them.

But a troubled sea of hostile riots, looting, and murder is too much for anyone to navigate safely.

Except Tyrus Rechs. Following a trail that links the riots and deaths to a demagogue known in the underground as Madame Guillotine, the bounty hunter must fight his way above, beneath, and through the sweltering city to bring the prisoners back home…and make those responsible pay.

Join the adventure as Tyrus Rechs stops at nothing to take down a nefarious conspiracy before it has a chance to take root in the very Republic that wants him dead.

Best of the Three

This series, "Tyrus Rechs: Contracts & Terminations" had been different than the main one. I didn't mind the change in narrator as I'm a big fan of Ray Porter as well from previous audiobooks. His rendition of the story was masterful as I've come to expect from him. Story-wise, if you're debating whether to start or finish the series... do it. It's all worth it in the end. I liked Book 1, not as much as the main series, but I liked it. Book 2 was by far my least favourite of the series, yet still entertaining and insightful in the backstory of Rechs. But Book 3 was in my opinion a masterpiece. I know this will be one of those series I'll listen to again and again... because of Book 3. If you like the Galaxy's Edge universe and military movies like Black Hawk Down, then you will LOVE this book.

The same tired hate speech of 2016-2020

Grab your yack hat and pray for societal collapse, Nick Cole and Jason Anspach seeth with hate in this steaming pile of crap in an otherwise amazing series. had to get the refund on this one, people whine and complain for free all the time and you'd be a sucker to pay them for it.

I give up.

I forfeit. I tried my hardest but there is just under 5 hours left and I can't take one more word.

This book isn't like the others, half the chapters don't even have Rechs in them, but every chapter is political. About every fifth sentence is an expression of hate towards left wing politics and every fourth sentence is pro military. Regardless of most of the book being an irrelevant and repetitive political stance the driving plot is weak, you're telling me that Rechs the most feared legendary bounty hunter in the galaxy drops everything any time a military person is taken prisoner?

31 chapters done and I can only infer why a planet is rebelling but clearly they are the worst villains Rechs has ever faced huh? The author goes to great lengths to vilify the protesters and yet somehow they still seem better than the ultra glorified military government. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was drug/torture interrogation of "the kid" like really there is no mega plot twist that can make this dumpster fire of a book worth the read.

Loved the first two but just pretend this one doesn't exist.

Fantastic story.

Another fine addition to the Galaxy's Edge series. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
