Publisher's Summary

Tennessee Smith is a wanted man. Betrayed by his government and hunted by his former employer, he's been stripped of everything he holds dear. If the CIA finds him, they're sure to take his life as well. His only shot at getting it all back is taking down the man who burned him. He knows just how to get to Senator Hank McDonald and that's through his daughter, Faith. In order to seduce her, he must become something he never thought he'd be - a Dom.

All her life, Dr. Faith "Mac" McDonald has felt alone, even among her family. Dedicating herself to helping others and making a difference in the world has brought her some peace, but a year spent fighting the Ebola virus in West Africa has taken a toll. She's come home for two months of relaxation before she goes back into the field. After holding so many lives in her hands, nothing restores her like the act of submission. Returning to her favorite club, Mac is drawn to the mysterious new Dom all the subs are talking about, Master No. In the safety of his arms, she finds herself falling head over heels in love.

On an exclusive Caribbean island, Ten and Mac explore their mutual attraction, but her father's plots run deeper than Ten could possibly have imagined. With McKay-Taggart by his side, Ten searches for a way to stop the senator, even as his feelings for Mac become too strong to deny. In the end, he must choose between love and revenge - a choice that will change his life forever.

OMG

This book is something else... Okay Tennessee Smith is not so different from his brothers at Sanctum, he just didn't know it until he meet Faith McDonald... Faith McDonald didn't know what she wanted out of life until she meet Ten... Ten thought that he would be able to use Faith and let her go after he got the evidence that he need against her father... But something changed inside of Ten and Faith both.. It came more and Ten couldn't see his life without Faith in it... Faith had to make a harder choice than Ten did because her father is evil and he wanted nothing more than to kill Ten... Once Faith figured out the truth of who was lying to her, she can to the right decision... That her father would lie and cheat just to get his own way, even to protect her evil sister who is doing bad things to people with experimenting drugs on them to make them forget who they are and their moral compass... Hope McDonald is Faith's sister and she is trying to make soldiers or what ever you to call them to do her's and her father's dirty work for them.. Sadly in this story there is any couple who didn't get their happy ever after because one of them dies.. But Faith wanted to know more about Ten Smith so, she had someone find out who his birth parents where turns out that his mom was died but his father is still alive and didn't even know that he existed.. But once Ten's birth father found out that he had another son in this world he and his other son came to Dallas to meet Ten..

Not Much Heat

I thought the narration of Ten and Faith's story was excellent. I also really enjoyed this book, but maybe not for the reasons I expected. A definite 3.5 stars read.

The OP was intriguing. It took me down paths I didn't necessarily expect. From the beginning of Ten and Faith's relationship, I knew something was up but didn't expect the level of craziness. The description of Ten's torture was intense.

I love the camaraderie between the McCay-Taggert Bunch and all of the operatives and significant others that get pulled into their circle.

There was a decent amount of action and suspense in this story, along with a couple of "hold your breath" moments. There was one couple I was surprised about. Then I thought they were just part of the op. Then I was surprised that they were more than the Op.

The further I go into this series, it seems like there is more and more inner dialogue, and less between characters. With the number of characters in each book, you would think the inner dialogue would be toned down a bit. Although, I do love the humor in these books.

I have to say that the Ten/Faith relationship really took a back seat in this book; at least for me it did. I know they communicated for at least 3 months before they actually meet, so their relationship was not instalove. I didn't feel any real heat, connection, chemistry, romance, or buildup of sexual tension. I felt that Ten wanted to keep her safe, but I felt the safety factor more than the romantic factor.

The scene with Erin was heart wrenching. I didn't think she had it in her. If I could have experienced that same level of emotion with Ten and Faith, I would not hesitate to up this review to 5 stars.

I have to move on, because this particular Op, didn't exactly end on a cliffhanger, but it did leave a couple of loose ends.

Finally!

Finally we get Ten’s story. What’s start as a way to get close to his arch nemesis turns into way more than he bargains for.

At first this was just a job for Tennessee Smith. Get close to Faith McDonald in order to get close to his real target. Her father. But soon his feelings for her take a turn and he finds himself trying to save not only face but his whole team.

This is a thriller! So suspenseful. So hot!

Took too long to get to the good stuff

I guess I had hyped this book up in my mind too much! I loved Ten in so many other books that I wanted his story to be MORE. I’m not saying it wasn’t good.. just that it took too long to get there then it was so intense all at once. I cried so hard at one part (no spoiler, you will know what I’m talking about) that I literally had to pull over my car so I wasn’t driving. It was that sad. Anyway, I love Ten, Erin, Theo, and even Faith (sometimes). I liked that Faith is a seasoned submissive who has no body issues, knows her worth and what she wants. At least I didn’t have to deal with that. After Jesse and Phoebe book starting out with action and being the best book in the series.. it was hard to have this slow start. Sorry but I have to say, overall, it wasn’t good enough for Ten. I also can’t wait for the next book. lol
