When you steal Time Magic, prepare to run for eternity …
Arlan can go back in time by one minute, once per day.
Fail a challenge? Say something dumb? He can get a redo as long as he acts fast.
And every time he levels up, he can go back a little further.
But, even with his growing power, Arlan has never been in more danger. He was left stranded in the middle of a monster-infested forest, nobody to rely on but himself as he fights to build strength.
And his time magic wasn't given to him freely.
He stole it.
And its original owners would go to any lengths to take it back.
Don't miss the start of a new LitRPG adventure filled with time magic, three-dimensional characters, a crunchy LitRPG system, tactical combat, and power progression where level-ups are hard-earned and bring with them meaningful change in characters’ abilities.

But the long demon names get difficult to listen to over time. Cudos to the narrator for powering through those. And half the book is just system messages. We really don’t need to hear the full lengthy system message for every single offensive action, though the whole book. Set the trend. Then figure out how to use a shorthand or summary. Constant lengthy damage notifications ruin the flow of the battle scenes.
Also as the stakes increase. Our main characters have to fight harder and harder battles. But the ease that they defeat their opponents is unreasonable. I can’t see an army of trained soldiers. With swords and bows. And classes specifically for combat. Being beaten in melee combat by two untrained spell casters with no weapons and no armor. And that’s without the MC using his special gimmick.
All the other characters seem to all act like our main character is “the hero” of a story. Giving up things for themselves to advantage the main character. But there’s no reason to treat our spoiled MC as a golden chilled.
The cursing also gets worse as the story progresses.
I wanted to like the story. I initially thought I found my next good listen where I’d buy all the books. But I’m ready to be done with our main character now. I’m rooting for the bad guys just to end this all.
Started out good. Got less believable over time.

I hated this book right around the time claws were able to Destroy metal coins in a purse. Not cut the purse and spill the coins. No destroy to the point that all the value in the metal coins was gone.
I want to let the author pick any two weapons and try to replicate that kind of damage on a Cloth Bag filled with Metal Coins. Failure means they never write anything ever again.
But then so many other things with just as little respect for logic, common sense or the laws of physics kept happening.
Wild rabbits with so little awareness our city raised hero Literally Steps On Them. YES. more than once does our hero’s boot steps upon wild rabbits.
Our hero also has taken wilderness survival training (we are told) but then he shows zero awareness of how to survive in the wilderness.
Wild animals/monsters (the deference wasn’t really explained in what I got through) leave our sleeping hero alone, but then will later attack without hesitation.
Hiding in the mental influence of a powerful monster who can read the emotions of animals… but somehow the large human never startles, spooks, annoys, or even attracts the attention of any of those animals inside this sphere for 3 Days. While casting magic. And eating raw meat.
Our hero is so weak that he can’t hold a sword (even though he practiced with That Same Sword for years) but he is able to wrestle with a wolf like monster. The sword thing is because wizards can’t use swords because D&D says so and this author didn’t even begin to pretend there was a reason beyond that.
The demon name thing as mentioned in another review is just salt on an open wound. In print cut/pasting a name is easy and just as easily skipped over. Listening to… Yeah No.
Our hero has to ‘figure out’ how skill experience works but ‘remembers’ how it works at later levels. So why not just have him remember how it all works? Not that the explanation adds anything to the story as it doesn’t really matter how fast someone levels their skills up to the level cap.
As I said, I am bailing out early. I just didn’t enjoy this story.
Oooophf. No
