too much filler
the main core story is great, the problem with this series as a whole is all the little filler side stuff that really doesn't need to be in it! the main character complains non-stop about being the king or in charge but doesn't like people calling on his crap! it gets old.

It just gets better
I love the mighty Halar, each step is evolved and the growth and depth of the writing is so rich and the contemplation of self and the internal reflection is always just so gripping.

amazing
this series is absolutely amazing. I especially love the crossover between this series and the zombie fallout series by Mark Tufo, who is also an amazing author. both series have a crossovers with eachother detailing the same event just through two points of views. truly a masterpiece
