Tom DeLonge and Peter Levenda continue their revelatory work in a thoroughly-researched exposé that seeks to solve the scientific mysteries of the unidentified aerial phenomenon, the UFO experiencers whose lives were changed forever, and what it means for all mankind. To this end, they have divided their study into three fields of inquiry: genetics and the ET hypothesis, consciousness, and human-machine symbiosis.

Story
Communion is the iconic classic in which Whitley Strieber describes his 1985 close encounter experiences. This book, which fundamentally changed the way we understand close encounters and alien abductions, is presented here with a new introduction by the author. Do not miss this great classic and the powerful introduction that explores the situation as it stands today—even more provocative and important now, as official sources are admitting that UFOs are real unknowns and that they seem to have something to do with close encounters.

More than half of American adults and more than 75 percent of young Americans believe in intelligent extraterrestrial life. This level of belief rivals that of belief in God. Publisher's Summary
The witnesses are legion, scattered across the world and dotted through history, people who looked up and saw something impossible lighting up the night sky. What those objects were, where they came from, and who - or what - might be inside them is the subject of fierce debate and equally fierce mockery, so that most who glimpsed them came to wish they hadn't.
Most, but not everyone.
Among those who know what they've seen and are forever changed by it are a pilot, an heiress, a journalist, and a prisoner of war. From the waning days of the 20th century's final great war to the fraught fields of Afghanistan to the otherworldly secrets hidden amid Nevada's dusty neverlands - the truth that is out there will propel each of them into a labyrinth of otherworldly technology and the competing aims of those who might seek to prevent - or harness - these beings of unfathomable power. Because, as it turns out, we are not the only ones who can invent and build and destroy.
Featuring actual events and other truths drawn from sources within the military and intelligence community, Tom DeLonge and A. J. Hartley offer a tale at once terrifying, fantastical, and perhaps all too real.

Captivating story. Great performance.
Loved it. Skeptical at first but it quickly drew me in. The characters are realistic and well-developed. DeLonge and Hartley take what most would scoff at as crazy UFO bullshit and present it as something not only serious and believable, but as a logical and rational conclusion. I look forward to experiencing more of this multifaceted project.

DeLonge is on to something
Taking known real life events and then having a narrative with interesting characters intertwined. I enjoyed it and will check out the next book. Mr. DeLonge let's get cracking on releasing some more big news.

Interesting
A recommended SiFi novel. I esecially enjoyed the author's ability to "think outside the box" of war-in-space novels.
Yes, some audio glitches that should be fixed.

cool story, good narration
Others have said it and I'll confirm. Narration is good, or even great, but there are some pops on the s's. You will most likely have to listen to the books volume a little lower then normal.
The story is a little cliche and leaves you hanging on what the pilot ends up seeing in the end. I also find it somewhat frustrating when a book keeps ending chapters right at the good part.
That being said, the book was entertaining, so mission accomplished! I didn't put it down and finished it very quickly.

Good book, some audio annoyances
Narrator was whistling his "s" loudly for certain parts of the story, making it a little annoying at times. I'd lower the volume but couldn't hear the rest well enough. Story gets interesting quickly, looking forward to getting to the other books of the series.

loved it.
if you're interested in learning about what's going on in the world and figuring out some stuff for yourself it's a good place to start.
unfortunately the narrator whistles his S's and while this is tolerable man does it get annoying at times.
