Publisher's Summary

INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER HOW FAR DOES THE APPLE REALLY FALL FROM THE TREE?

Good Me Bad Me is dark, compelling, voice-driven psychological suspense by debut author Ali Land: "Could not be more unputdownable if it was slathered with superglue." —Sunday ExpressMilly’s mother is a serial killer. Though Milly loves her mother, the only way to make her stop is to turn her in to the police. Milly is given a fresh start: a new identity, a home with an affluent foster family, and a spot at an exclusive private school. But Milly has secrets, and life at her new home becomes complicated. As her mother’s trial looms, with Milly as the star witness, Milly starts to wonder how much of her is nature, how much of her is nurture, and whether she is doomed to turn out like her mother after all. When tensions rise and Milly feels trapped by her shiny new life, she has to decide: Will she be good? Or is she bad? She is, after all, her mother's daughter.

"Land takes the reader on a terrific voyage into the teenage psyche...an intense, insightful first novel; its believable characters caught up in realistic situations will make the reader think more deeply about teenage mental health. Fans of Jay Asher's Thirteen Reasons Why will enjoy this book immensely." - Library Journal

I could not stop listening! The ending is predictable but working toward it is fascinating. This would make an incredible movie.

Just ok

I really enjoyed the first 1/3 of the book - especially insight or exploring being the child and victim of a serial killer/abusive mother - but no way ever would a psychologist have a client live with them and treat them in the same home , and the ending just seemed undeveloped and sudden and completely far fetched too.

Imogen is amazing and incredible and was the reason I chose this for my read as I love her performances. She’s likely the only reason I continued on.
