Publisher's Summary

From Daniel Silva, the number one New York Times best-selling author, comes a modern masterpiece of espionage, love, and betrayal. She was his best-kept secret....

In an isolated village in the mountains of Andalusia, a mysterious Frenchwoman begins work on a dangerous memoir. It is the story of a man she once loved in the Beirut of old, and a child taken from her in treason’s name. The woman is the keeper of the Kremlin’s most closely guarded secret. Long ago, the KGB inserted a mole into the heart of the West - a mole who stands on the doorstep of ultimate power. Only one man can unravel the conspiracy: Gabriel Allon, the legendary art restorer and assassin who serves as the chief of Israel’s vaunted secret intelligence service. Gabriel has battled the dark forces of the new Russia before, at great personal cost. Now he and the Russians will engage in a final epic showdown, with the fate of the postwar global order hanging in the balance.

What the critics say

"A tense, thrilling adventure.... With Silva's novels you find yourself being educated as well as being entertained.... Silva is that rarity of rarities, a writer whose stories just keep getting better." (Huffington Post)

"An irresistible thriller.... The phrase 'number-one New York Times best-selling author' gets bandied about a lot (Which list? For how long?), but in Silva's case, it means exactly what it says." (Booklist, starred review)

"Written by one of our greatest living spy novelists, House of Spies gives us protagonist Gabriel Allon in his 17th adventure. The novel features Silva's taut and compelling dialogue and keen insight into the human psyche." (Dallas Morning News)

Another Great Read from Daniel Silva

Daniel Silva continues the Gabriel Allon saga with an interesting story involving the most infamous traitor in English history. The interweaving of the challenges faced by modern-day Israel with the Kim Philby affair makes me wonder how much is real and how much is the author's creation. #Audible1

The Other Woman audible version

Daniel Silva's new book is another thrilling installment of the life of Gabriel Allon, the Israel's spymaster.
The narrator 'George Guildall' does an exceptional job and is a pleasure to listen to. #Audible1.
listening to the story adds yet another level of excitement. I also have the kindle version and am surprised how the audible version adds additional depth to the story. Now, with my vision impaired, the audible series is my lifeline to novels.
I only wish i didn't have to wait for another year for the installment of this exciting series
Highly recommend this audible book.

Another Silva Classic

The temples may be gray, but Gabriel Allon's allure to the reader never fades. In Silva's The Other Woman, Allon and his not-so-merry band of spies don't disappoint as they race to save the world from chaos, treachery, and embarrassment.

In Allon, Daniel Silva has captured the heart, conscience, and the ruthlessness necessary for someone in his unenviable position. His sparring with counterparts in the UK and the US intelligence services makes one question who is making the right call. His international cast of spies and villains are carefully-crafted and are full of surprises.

Guidall's performance is solid. He voices the characters with confidence and intensity, particularly Allon's understated relentlessness. Another great #Audible1 choice!

Silva pays Le Carre

I love Daniel Silva and the Gabriel Allon, but this one was a subject too far. I felt like it was Daniel Slva doing his Jone Le Carré impersonation. For me, just didn't work.

Nonstop read

I really enjoy all the Gabriel Allon stories and this one was no different.
Glamorous locations, high paced action, and thoughtful political analysis.

Excellent - strongly recommend !!!

This was my first Daniel Silva novel and I couldn’t be more pleased! Strong performance by the narrator added to an excellent, and very relevant, story line will have me returning for more.
