Publisher's Summary

Number-one New York Times Best Seller - soon to be a major motion picture starring Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, and Gary Oldman

"Astounding. Thrilling. Amazing." (Gillian Flynn)

"Unputdownable." (Stephen King)

"A dark, twisty confection." (Ruth Ware)

"Absolutely gripping." (Louise Penny)

For listeners of Gillian Flynn and Tana French comes one of the decade's most anticipated debuts, to be published in 36 languages around the world and already in development as a major film from Fox: A twisty, powerful Hitchcockian thriller about an agoraphobic woman who believes she witnessed a crime in a neighboring house.

It isn't paranoia if it's really happening....

Anna Fox lives alone - a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times...and spying on her neighbors.

Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn't, her world begins to crumble. And its shocking secrets are laid bare.

What is real? What is imagined? Who is in danger? Who is in control? In this diabolically gripping thriller, no one - and nothing - is what it seems.

Twisty and powerful, ingenious and moving, The Woman in the Window is a smart, sophisticated novel of psychological suspense that recalls the best of Hitchcock.

Bonus: Includes an interview with author A. J. Finn.

Goof story. Horrible narration.

The story is rather interesting. A good psychological thriller, with greats elements to it.

However, the narration is terrible. The lady who’s narrating it is really hard to listen to- everything is being described as if she’s sobbing. High pitched pleading tone, which I could barely tolerate. Ugh!

Found my hand covering my mouth at the twist

The story... was wow.. the narrator did a really good job at getting me to feel the emotions by all the characters. I would definitely read other books by A.J. Finn a.k.a Dan Mallory and I would most definitely hear any other book narrated by Ann Marie Lee. I hope they make the movie version AT LEAST decent enough to capture all the details. I usually listen to audiobooks while driving and there were many days I just had to continue listening even though I arrived at my destinations. Thank you for a good story and thank you Ann Marie for reading it to me :)

Oh my god

First of all the narrator have made this book an amazing experience
The book itself is smartly written and I enjoyed it a lot. That been said I heard people comparing it to the girl on the train and I haven’t red that yet and I don’t get why people upset if it’s similar to another book. Let’s face it it’s a smartly written book with a beautiful language the tropes for thriller novels are similar to each other so of course there will be comparison but with all fairness please read this book it has amazing twists at the end that I didn’t see coming and it really grabbed my attention all along you won’t regret

Very slow to start...

I had a really hard time listening to this book just because it was written slow to start. I have had this book for quite sometime, I believe about a year, and kept having to restart it over to try and get through it. I'm glad I did as it is entertaining and there are twists in it, but the ending sucked a bit for me.
