Publisher's Summary

In this heart-stopping thriller, a brazen kidnapper targets the most lavish New York City wedding of the season - and takes "Here Comes the Bride" as an invitation.

Reality star Erin Easton's "Wedding of the Century" may have a cable crew documenting every extravagant bridal detail, but when "Airhead Easton" disappears from the reception, it's no diva turn. Her dressing room is empty but for a blood-spattered wedding gown and signs of a struggle.

Detective Kylie MacDonald of NYPD Red, already on-scene as a plus-one, loops in her partner, Detective Zach Jordan to activate Level One mobilization for this PR nightmare. But when Erin's "proof of life" video makes it to air - rather than to evidence - every A-lister on the guest list becomes a target of suspicion...or just a target.

I tried really hard.....

I tried really hard to give this book a fair shake despite the negative reviews. After a couple days of multiple listen attempts, I agree with the others. This book is a hard pass.

Comments from a reader

This is a good crime novel. The plot turns were good and I could not guess what would happen next. I can't wait to read NYPD Red 7! (I assume there wil be a 7th book in the series).

I figured it out within minutes

Bummed. it ended just as I predicted and it was very short. I thought there would be more to it. A waste of my money for sure. I love JP but I am definitely disappointed. I did enjoy the narrator.

Fun read. Fast paced. Zack and Kylie pursue a kidnapped reality star and a second story that nobody seems to remember. Actions of the reality tv show producers confirm my previous bad opinion of the industry. It is usually quite difficult to gauge a Patterson novel’s impact until the very end and this is no exception. Pretty good book.

NYPD Red 6

Narration is very good
except, Zacks' girlfriend that is not a Latina accent for someone born & raised in New York City & college educated, it sounds Irish.

Good read, Great performance

Although the Kidnapping investigation ending is predictable, the rest of the book was very good. I hope the romances of the detectives continue into the next book.
