good story awkward voice actor
the voice actor pacing seems very oddly timed especially at the start of the book but you kind of get used to it. Slightly increased the speed. overall story pretty good

Incredible Novel
It’s been a while since I’ve read a book and didn’t want it to end. I’m so happy that this was just the first book in the series.
The writing is terrific. The world building is rich with histories, setting details, and politics. The characters are interesting and well developed. Kristoff truly is an excellent writer.
My only criticism is in the voice actor for this audible. He did an excellent job with different characters’ voices, inflection/expression, and pace. However, I found that at times his voice was too low when narrating characters like Mr Kindly. I also thought that some character accents, while exciting, were hard to understand. I’d also like to have seen more breaks or pauses between the story and the footnotes (history). I found the narrative confusing to follow at times because there wasn’t pauses.
Overall, this was a fantastic audible experience and will definitely be reading the next books through this app.

Fierce seductive fantasy debut - Nevernight!
This was my first novel by Jay Kristoff, and I was not dissapointed. Mia’s character was a nice change to have amoung fantasy novels. I look forward to reading more of his work! Next up.. Godsgrave #Audible1

highly recommend
Loved it. The narrator is amazing and really adds a layer to the story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Strong female lead and a crew of enjoyable characters.

Wow that was great! SO GOOD a must read.
The story everything was perfectly amazing. The characters were so complex and exciting with an awesome female lead! the story had depth, death, sex, growth, and action! everything a fantasy story should have, it had in my opinion. the narrator did an amazing job (although I did find little mias voice grating at times) really overall no complains a journey for sure I’ll be starting the next book now.

Great read!
I loved this book from front to back!
The character development was great! Jay Kristoff definitely takes great care when writing all of them.
The story was great! I never felt any lulls throughout the story, Jay always had my full attention till the very end!!
Also have to mention Holter Graham, great narrator!
Cant wait to dive into the next book!

Five stars for Mia Corvere
I really loved this book. It's been a long time since a fantasy novel has been this satisfying for me. Mia Corvere is a total powerhouse of a character with her unrelenting and unashamed drive for revenge tempered by her natural capacity for caring. The narrator was pretty darn close to perfect. I'm glad I chose an audiobook for this one. Five big 'thank you for being so good' stars.
