It would be difficult to overstate what a fantastic job Simon Vance does of reading this novel. Pure joy!

Dickens has always seemed balanced in many ways but it was utterly refreshing to read a story that is heavily influenced by the women’s part in the story. This especially with the cultural and political time is impressive, Dickens was a man ahead of his time. The book was lovely to read, one of my favourites.
