The importance of women in the book
Dickens has always seemed balanced in many ways but it was utterly refreshing to read a story that is heavily influenced by the women’s part in the story. This especially with the cultural and political time is impressive, Dickens was a man ahead of his time. The book was lovely to read, one of my favourites.

Another Dickens Classic
Loved this title. All the usual characters, humor, and strong storyline that make every Dickens book a pleasure to listen/read. Recommend!!

Simon Vance is a treasure...Dickens at his best - detailed, unforgettable, human characters, weird & wonderful side quests, and, as always, hope.

Fantastic Narration
I’m not sure a narrator has ever voiced so many characters as successfully as Simon Vance does here.
Another Dickens classic full of heartache and humour followed by happiness and love.
