Publisher's Summary

I came to Whispering Key for a job. That was all. To show the world Mason Bloom could be more than a small-town doctor living a medium-sized life.

Private doctor on a swanky island with a posh resort? Check.

But from the moment I set foot on this island, nothing went according to plan.

I didn’t expect to find the resort falling apart. I didn’t expect the people here to be so charming and crazy and welcoming and real. I didn’t expect legends about shipwrecks and buried treasure. And I definitely didn’t expect Fenn Reardon, the island’s incredibly attractive, incredibly infuriating, incredibly male resident tour guide, to become the one person I can’t live without.

Thirty-five’s a bit late for me to realize I'm not straight, though, right? And I have big dreams that won’t fit on Whispering Key, anyway - dreams that do not include tying myself to a tiny island stuck in the past or to a man who refuses to think about the future.

My head’s telling me I have to leave Whispering Key...My heart’s telling me there might be treasure on this island after all.

YES NEED MORE

Oh my god!!! This book was absolutely amazing. A great listen—I love Michael Dean and May Archer is honestly one of my favorite authors! Knowing I had to listen/read her new series!!! I LOVE Mason. I loved him when introduced in the Love in O’Leary series with Constantine and Micha, but I loved getting to know him and seeing him fall in love with someone he didn’t think he could stand. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for the next in the series

Horrible beginning

Starts off with horrible narration and a mixed storyline. But by ch 3 we get into a groove and it's your normal straight guy finally realized he's gay novel. All the prerequisites included - near death accident, gay costar, storybook setting. Can somebody please come up with something fresh and new??

Almost on Par with "Fakers!"

And that's saying a lot! A joyous, witty, hilarious & sexy story of love developing in the most unlikely of places. The grand message: Are you up for the challenge or not?

As with the previously mentioned book, a fun romp featuring a host of eccentric small town characters, brought together by forces none could identify. Leading the journey through a deceptively easy going group of Floridians, the divergent MC's slowly wind their lives & agendas into a sweet, loving HEA!!

Michael Dean, once again, popped this great story WAAAY outta the park. His deep, sexy rendition painted such delicious folks with unique personalities anyone could enjoy. Beautiful job!!!

Please, Ms. May, let there be a continuation that finds a quality love interest for sweet cousin Biel!!❤
Such a delightful group of characters, so very worth the read and/or listen!

Opposites grow together in the heat.

A well structured, cohesive story about damaged adults learning and growing their way together. I enjoyed the fact that the 'miscommunication' plot device wasn't between the lovers for once. (Mature communication and introspection are so very lacking in the vast majority of romance stories.) The 'opposites attract' factor with Fenn and Mason was done well, and their growth throughout the story was well paced.

The impoverished small town, tropical island backstory and setting, with its motley crew of fairly well fleshed-out and likable side characters was refreshing and believable.

There's a lot more that can happen in the Whispering Key world and I look forward to seeing more from this series. I want Beal's story next!

Best fun yet

I got more and more pulled in to this crazy, fun, loving story with every minute. Couldn't wait to hear how it developed and ended. Great characters, superb narration (Thank you AGAIN Michael Dean.) and predictable delightful book. All the crazy denizens of Whispering Key will live in my memory. Hope to find more May Archer work.

Hotter than the Florida setting

What an awesome start to a new May Archer series. Warm, sexy and hilarious, Off Plan is one of my favourite books ever. The narration pops it up yet another notch. Perfection

Great

This is a great enemies to lovers book! May Archer is a great author and I love her books! The tension between Fenn and Mason happens from the start, hilarious all the banter between these two, both have bad relationship in the past but they start to trust one another but Feen think that He isn’t good for Mason and there’s no future for them, Mason is just a few months in the Island but He find something worth to fight for, the romance is a slow burn and the sexy times are hot, I hope we get a bit more crossover of them in the next book! Michel Dean’s narrative is great, I love his voice!

So so funny

I ADORE the O'Leary novels, and this was sweet to see a cute couple from one of them. But this book was just excellent. It was sweet, funny as all get out and romantic. I laughed so much with the sarcasm through out this book. I strongly recommend if you love the O'Leary novels, you will absolutely adore this one as well.
