Publisher's Summary

It's not easy being the only human at the Community of Species Government - and especially not when you're the rescue case. Two years ago, I was planning to go to college, have a wild time, then settle into a normal life. Instead, I was kidnapped, spent months being a test subject, was in hiding for nearly a year, and then found out that my whole existence is a science experiment conducted by the bad guys. It's definitely time to reassess.

My rescuers at CSG have been awesome...mostly. They gave me a job, a home, and a support network. But the whole demons, vampires, shifters thing is not easy to get used to. Especially when one particular vampire makes me want to take up stake sharpening for a hobby.

The thing is, teenage mentality or not, Andrew is a fierce protector. With the bad guys still on the loose, I need someone like that on my side. Plus, did I mention that he's not hard to look at?

As we race to find my former captor before he can find me, life takes another twist and upends my world all over again. This time, though, I'm ready - after all, I've got an 800-year-old vampire at my back. What could possibly go wrong?

HFN

I don’t like cliffhanger books, but I just figured out I don’t like “happy for now” either.
Cool and twisted story, this really is a series you have to have all. And in order …
The book was good and somewhat interesting, though it felt like it got wrapped up a little too abruptly.
Great narrator, enjoyable performance.

Just Buy This Book!

Look, I am not even into the fantasy/sci-fi genre, but this book is freaking awesome! Hilariously laugh out loud funny, super sexy, and perfectly narrated. Can’t wait for more of this series!

Worth the credit

Really enjoyed the storyline and of course the excellent narration from Joel takes it to another level. Definitely worth the credit, can highly recommend and I am usually not a fan of paranormal.

I love this series

I love visiting this world and all its people. It's so intriguing and well written, it will keep you on the edge of your seat. A modern day human and an 800 year old vampire - hilarity and drama ensues. AND Joel Leslie is a master of accents and innuendo. He grabs the story and takes it into the atmosphere. He is a joy to listen to.

Not to be missed!!!

I’m in love with Louisa Masters and Joel Leslie! I loved the story and definitely laughed out loud many times at Andrews antics! Such a fun story. The series is not to be missed!! Joel Leslie is always a great choice for narration! His use of accents is amazing and I have gone in to Audible just searching for books narrated by him! Thanks you 2 for another fun listen!!

Fav of the series and Andrew and Noah are the best pairing!

This is a great series and this book is the best of those. The narration is wonderful and so easy to follow with his incredibly consistent work on the accents. They not only sound great, it makes it easier to follow!
The only part I don’t like is the ending. It is a bit abrupt after such a great ride with these two characters. I know it’s to be incentive to read the next in the series, and I have, but the next volume revolves around different characters.
Either way, this is a great story and you can’t help but love these two guys!

One Bite With A Vampire

I absolutely loved this book!

Book two in the series and I definitely recommend you read book one first because it introduces you to Noah and Andrew, and because it’s awesome too.

I think right now this is my favourite series.

Keep up the awesome work Louisa!

I highly recommend this series to everyone.

Joel’s performance was great.

Ohhh Joel- you are amazing!

I will literally read anything narrators but Joel Leslie - he is absolutely the best!

Andrew and Noah fit so we’ll together that I can’t imagine them working with anyone else. Their snarky attitudes but playful banter make for the best entertainment and I’m here for it.

Cute series

I liked Noah and Andrew a lot. Their chemistry and banter are entertaining and I love Noah's pessimism. He keeps Andrew in line very well.

I listened to this whole series in a couple of days. Joel Leslie always helps make the stories better with his performance.

There are moments of greatness and moments of WTF but overall, I liked this series. Not sure if I will listen to the spin-off series or not.

Great Continuation and Hilarious as always!

Just like Demons Do It Better this book is one I come back to (the series in general). Joel Leslie did a great job narrating as always! It was nice to see Andrew and Noah’s story. Andrew is an old vampire and he’s been through a lot, so he tends to be easy going. He also likes to start something because he has lived so long. Noah is not much of a people person, but it does care about others. The group from book one slowly become family for him. Also, don’t underestimate Noah! I won’t spoil it but he does have his badass moments despite being human. Noah and Andrew argue a lot and are very attracted to each other. Also, the title is accurate to their relationship. They do like to argue but care about each other. The overall plot from book 1 continues.
