What the critics say

“Krueger aims higher and hits harder with a stand-alone novel that shares much with his other work.” ( Kirkus Reviews)

What a wonderful surprise

There was nothing “ordinary” about this wonderful story. I loved the narrator who so convincingly rendered the characters voices. This book had everything…a family experiencing tragedy, mystery, love hope and, especially, faith. Highly recommend.

Spellbinding

I found myself drawn to the characters in this period setting of the 1960’s in a small town. It spoke true.

Best book I’ve read in a long time.

Well worth the listen. Never drags voice performance is outstanding. All voices are very realistic touching but not sappy. Highly recommend.

Excellent audiobook!

This is a really engaging, well-written, wholesome story. I enjoyed the interview with the author at the end as well. He says that he feels this book was meant to be read aloud, and I couldn’t agree more. The narrator does an excellent job!

Wonderful story!

I highly recommend this book. The way the characters seemed so real and I could picture them all in my mind. I loved the now forgotten respect the children in the book displayed when speaking to others and could sense the basic courtesy of a by-gone era. in the community. The story was laid out with such interesting detail and I became part of it. There were tense moments and turns that kept me listening until the end. Although I was sad it was over, the ending seemed
a natural progression and was done well. The narrator was excellent in his performance and really brought the book to life.

Emotional Experience

I am not an emotional person. I rarely laugh or cry when I read a book. Ordinary Grace, at one point, brought me to the brink of tears. I am so immersed in the characters, in their lives, it surprises me. I believe a successful audio book is when you have the perfect coalescence of a narrator and a story, and Ordinary Grace has achieved that. Beautiful read!

Suprisingly good

I have read some books that Audible offers for free and have not been impressed. This one was wonderful! Great narration and much food for thought.
