As Fin reconnects with the people and places of his tortured childhood, the beautiful island and its ancient customs once again begin to assert their grip on his psyche. Every step toward solving the case brings Fin closer to a confrontation with the dark events of the past that shaped - and nearly destroyed - his life.

The day Anna McDonald's quiet, respectable life explodes starts off like all the days before: Packing up the kids for school, making breakfast, listening to yet another true crime podcast. Then her husband comes downstairs with an announcement, and Anna is suddenly, shockingly alone. Reeling, desperate for distraction, Anna returns to the podcast. Other people's problems are much better than one's own - a sunken yacht, a murdered family, a hint of international conspiracy. But this case actually is Anna's problem. Bartered, abandoned, and rarely loved, she plagued the land with her words: From this day forward, there will be no daughters in Saylok. Raised among the Keepers at Temple Hill, Bayr is gifted with inhuman strength. But he’s also blessed with an all-too-human heart that beats with one purpose: to protect Alba, the first girl child born in nearly two decades and the salvation for a country at risk.

What a wonderful surprise
There was nothing “ordinary” about this wonderful story. I loved the narrator who so convincingly rendered the characters voices. This book had everything…a family experiencing tragedy, mystery, love hope and, especially, faith. Highly recommend.

Excellent audiobook!
This is a really engaging, well-written, wholesome story. I enjoyed the interview with the author at the end as well. He says that he feels this book was meant to be read aloud, and I couldn’t agree more. The narrator does an excellent job!

Emotional Experience
I am not an emotional person. I rarely laugh or cry when I read a book. Ordinary Grace, at one point, brought me to the brink of tears. I am so immersed in the characters, in their lives, it surprises me. I believe a successful audio book is when you have the perfect coalescence of a narrator and a story, and Ordinary Grace has achieved that. Beautiful read!

Wonderful story!
I highly recommend this book. The way the characters seemed so real and I could picture them all in my mind. I loved the now forgotten respect the children in the book displayed when speaking to others and could sense the basic courtesy of a by-gone era. in the community. The story was laid out with such interesting detail and I became part of it. There were tense moments and turns that kept me listening until the end. Although I was sad it was over, the ending seemed
a natural progression and was done well. The narrator was excellent in his performance and really brought the book to life.
