Publisher's Summary
The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!
In The Path of Daggers, the eighth novel in Robert Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al'Thor engages in battle wearing the Crown of Swords and wielding Callandor against a force unprepared for the wrath of the Dragon Reborn.
The Seanchan invaders are heading for Illian—and Rand's army of Asha'man soldiers. When they meet in battle, some of the Asha'man are afflicted by madness, unable to control their channeling and unleashing raw power.
The madness extends to Rand himself. He has been hearing the voice of a man believed to have been the previous Dragon Reborn. Besieged by visions and debilitated whenever he uses the One Power, Rand chooses to attack the Seanchan with Callandor. The sword consumes him with a berserker rage, felling ally and enemy alike. And when he regains his senses, Rand finds himself less trusted by those who were once the most loyal.
Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

Featured Article: The Best Female Narrators You Can Listen To All Day
When considering a new audiobook, one of the biggest questions listeners have is whether they’ll enjoy the narration style. This is understandable as audiobooks span at least a few hours, and sticking with one person’s voice for that period can feel like a big commitment. Luckily, there are so many excellent voice actors performing audiobooks that you might just find yourself gravitating to certain audiobooks based solely on the narrator’s strength.

Save money skip this book nothing really happens
save your money and skip this book The Story does not move forward and nothing really happens it's just an unfortunate example of when authors are trying to make money. don't get me wrong the quality of the writing was there the audible reading was good but just nothing happened in the story if you didn't read this and moved on to the next book you would not have missed anything none of the story progressed

Corrupt Audio File
I tried downloading this a few times but the audio files still contain skipped words and issues.
It would be nice if you could report mark issues as you listen.

Meh!
My least favorite so far. It just dragged on and on with no end in sight.

Not as good as earlier and later books
Like I said, definitely one of the least interesting books in the series, however it has some important character development.

Interesting setup for future books, refreshing change of pace
I enjoyed the fact that he strayed from the regular pace of the earlier books. There wasn’t an exciting beginning a boring middle, and a big battle scene with a forsaken killed at the end like there was for every other book. The ending was more of a setup for severs plot points, which is exciting.
I LOVED Elayne’s and Nyneave’s parts at the start of the book. Dealing with different groups of powerful women was exciting and posed a lot of questions about how each group would fit into the white tower and the dragon reborn’s schemes.
Randy’s story line with the sanchean was also very interesting. They were probably the most interesting culture and I was so excited for their comeback. I loved how Rands stance on women in battle affected this with the moral issues around suldam and damane. There are other issues and plots from that battle that blow up in Rand’s face at the end of the book.
Lastly, there wasn’t any part of the book that was too hard to get through for me this time. It may be because I checked out any time nobles are mentioned lol

By far my least favourite in the series
I'm so tired of the bickering between the women. Honestly there's some undertones of very uncomfortable feelings towards women that come through in this book a lot more than the other books. That was the theme that came through more than anything else and I found it really boring. It would have been fine if the story moved forward at all, but it didn't. You’ll be fine if you skip it.

Really enjoying this story. I am impressed with the narrators’ consistency and skill that carries over from one book to the next. Nice job!

Great book
Outstanding story. Great performance. Could have been a bit more consistent with pronunciation of names.

Love the Book, Too Many Characters
There are so many story lines to follow by this point in the series. I feel that it’s best to focus on what happens only to the core Characters and hope the rest makes sense at the end.
