Zoe is used to taking care of herself and has long ago accepted that if anything bad was going to happen, it was going to happen to her. So when she loses her job over something most bosses would probably be happy with and her life starts going down hill from there, she doesn't expect it to get any better.

Like most Bradfords, Trevor has a soft spot for food, but that's about all. He leads a pretty straightforward life and likes to keep things simple and that includes his relationships. He wants the perfect woman and knows exactly what she'll be like. So when he discovers much to his horror that he's thinking about his frumpy little neighbor he decides the best way to get his head straight is by working her out of his system. He'll keep her around, but only until he finds perfection.

This year I decided to re-read one of my all-time favorite comfort series… and honestly, I don’t know what I was thinking because there are like 15 or 16 books in it 😂 This is a commitment. But worth it. Completely worth it.
And here we are with Perfection, book two in this chaotic, food-obsessed, Bradford-family madness. If you know, you KNOW. If you don’t? The Bradford men are basically cursed when it comes to food. The eating habits? Outrageous. Ridiculous. Borderline concerning. And yet… I laugh every single time.
Trevor Bradford — aka Bastard Trevor (said with love 😌) — absolutely knew what he wanted. And it wasn’t his plump little tenant Zoe… except it kind of was. After one careless moment and words he immediately regretted, he tries to fix the damage. What starts as guilt-driven help slowly turns into something he can’t ignore — touches, kisses, that growing obsession he pretends isn’t happening. Meanwhile Zoe, who just wants one thing in her life to go right, takes a leap because really… what does she have left to lose?
Except her heart.

And now again… and it’s still just as good as the first time.
My original review was basically: “Very good book and very funny. This series is THE BEST. I love Bastard Trevor :)”
Well… now I can elaborate a little more 😂
This is honestly one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. The humor is silly, over-the-top, completely unhinged at times — especially when you “hear” what’s going on in Trevor’s head.
There are no dark secrets. No dramatic trauma bombs. No emotional rollercoaster from hell. What this is? A light, sexy, laugh-out-loud rom-com that delivers pure entertainment from start to finish. The chemistry is fun, the banter is sharp, and the heat? Definitely present but balanced — spicy without overtaking the humor.
The audiobook is single narration by Fran Jules and she did a solid job bringing the chaos to life. That said… if this series ever comes out in dual or duet narration? Just take my money. Immediately. I will buy them all without hesitation.
This series is comfort food. Fitting, considering the Bradfords 😌🍰
If you’re looking for a funny, feel-good, slightly spicy romance that doesn’t emotionally destroy you but still gives you that one little heart squeeze? This is it.
And yes… I still love Bastard Trevor.
